Centre Forward tomorrow

Was Rusyn bought with a view to selling Clarke in the next window?
I would say Rusyn is ahead of Bennette as backup to Clarke atm, it could be an option to sell Clarke for loads of money. TM said Rusyn won't be playing upfront anytime soon due to language barrier and tactical reason, but next few months a possibility

Tend to agree, I never knock a player after they have had only a few games, especially if they are young. Having said that, Burstow has had a bit of a run out and it has to be admitted not shown much.
Now last season after losing Stewart, and really having no substitute, several other players stepped up and scored goals. Again this season other players continue to score goals.
However, as was highlighted in the 2nd half against Boro, we do not have a striker/CF who can function as 'an out ball'. In that have balls played up to him, hold for a few seconds and bring on other players, also be good in the air.
Whether or not the new strikers we have brought in can do this role, I don't know.. but it is a glaring tactical miss.
Tbf we literally played with no CF in the 2nd half against Boro. Burstow came off at half time and Ba kind of went up front.

Still think it's Mowbray putting Rusyn out wide rather than us buying him as Clarkes replacement/understudy to play in that position.

I think he was bought for competition upfront. It looks again like Mowbray is having difficulties with the language barrier.

Burstow's run against Boro where he should pace, decent bit skill and strength before a shocking final touch under no pressure, after doing the hard work, was a microcosm of how he's been so far.

Unless there's some sort of obligation written into the loan I personally think he's missed his opportunity and shouldn't be an automatic choice to start. His finishing is woeful/none existent

Fully expect Burstow to start. Not sure that's the right thing tbh. He hasn't looked like scoring at all, he's not even missing chances.

Personally I'd start Hemir, at least he's got into positions to miss chances

Thoughts lads, lasses and other pronouns

That'd be my pick for those reasons tbh but burstow is definitely better in the buildup
I've forgot more than you'll ever know sunshine

That's the problem isn't it? :p

According to Clarke and Roberts Mowbrays communication to the forwards is 'go and play your game' so it shouldn't take much to Google that in ukranian

I agree. It's not like he's telling him to play in midfield or defence is it?

Considering we now look to overseas for most our talent, Mowbray is going to have to get onboard with these foreign lads or he'll be replaced by someone who can.

I kind of agree with that, although I think Burstow has contributed a lot more than people are giving him credit for. His hold up play and passing have been helping us a lot, I think he really needs someone alongside him though (Rusyn?), and obviously he needs to start scoring himself.

It would be nice to see Hemir get more opportunities though.
His hold up play and passing has been shocking. Had 1 good half against Sheffield Wednesday other than that he couldn't hold a slash in.

Hemir has been woefully mismanaged since he arrived here and has largely shown more in glimpses than Burstow, IMO.

I appreciate it's not a like-for-like comparison as Hemir has been coming off the bench against tiring defences etc, but for me I'd give him more starts.

Hemir is our player and I don't think Burstow is showing enough for us as things stand, to sacrifice development time for Hemir.

He can barely run mate.

Burstow for his hold up play will play

Rusyn likes to run with the ball down the left and is considered a left winger/forward

Hemir has been disappointing in the u21 games
Hemir looks lost until we start putting crosses in the box...which rare.
Rusyn as Burstow is chod (more than happy to be proved completely wrong).
'Chod' is maybe a bit harsh but I've not been that impressed so far.

I'd say that's a fair assessment.
I'd probably go with Rusyin. Looked lively in his cameo against the smogs and will cause problems for defences.

Trying to be honest and not negative but don’t really have any faith in the lads who we’ve got in the squad, bar Rusyn who hasn’t started a game. Happy to be proved wrong.
