Which is exactly why I'd play him. We simply don't use a number 9, Burstow barely ever touches the ball, because the football we play is a lot of interplay between the wide players and the no 10. We almost never ping balls in behind, or balls up to a striker. Burstow spends most of the game running about being ignored. Rusyn would drop in and be a more flexible option up there, he'd be involved more.and I think Rusyn is more of a false 9
We could switch to more traditional 442 and play them both due to the lack of options in CM.Burstow for his hold up play will play
Rusyn likes to run with the ball down the left and is considered a left winger/forward
Hemir has been disappointing in the u21 games
Tend to agree over Hemir. No doubt the lad will be a good player for us in time, but he doesn't seem to have yet developed a footballing 'brain' i e knowing when / how to pressure defenders.I’d start Burstow.
He leads the line well and constantly works off the ball pressuring the defence. Just needs to have a bit more confidence and selfishness in front of goal which should come with time.
Hemir doesn’t pressure the defence enough for me, and I think Rusyn is more of a false 9 or wide forward. Similar to Gelhardt in that respect.
There isn'tMore chance of me starting up front tomorrow than Hemir
Point is Hemir won't be startingThere isn't
I know he won't, the point of the thread is who would you, personally, like to see startPoint is Hemir won't be starting
He's got into positions to miss chances when games are dead. He's played multiple u21 games and can't remember him having a decent chance. Literally hasn't got a clue where he needs to be as a centre forward.Fully expect Burstow to start. Not sure that's the right thing tbh. He hasn't looked like scoring at all, he's not even missing chances.
Personally I'd start Hemir, at least he's got into positions to miss chances
Thoughts lads, lasses and other pronouns
The quotes from Rusyn were clearly from him and his agent wanting to get a game. "Play me boss"
Aouchiche false 9 itI know he won't, the point of the thread is who would you, personally, like to see start
Do those positions not count?!?!?He's got into positions to miss chances when games are dead. He's played multiple u21 games and can't remember him having a decent chance. Literally hasn't got a clue where he needs to be as a centre forward.
They do if he scores themDo those positions not count?!?!?
Aye thisRusyn's turn for me.
So what about not getting into any position to score? They do if he scores them
No Luke, the point is that you won't be.Point is Hemir won't be starting
That comment was regarding watching him for the u21s. I don't know what your point is? The kid is no where near ready. He may well be in the future and we will have to be patient with him but he will not be playing in our first team any time soon because he got in a couple of good positions when we were 3-1 and 5-0 up. It's a ridiculous suggestion. Burstow doesn't look like a natural scorer but at least there's other parts of is game which you can understand him being picked. So what about not getting into any position to score?
Can't argue with that.No Luke, the point is that you won't be.
There isn't enough from Burstow to make him a better option than Hemir. Unless he's doing some of the unseen work Honeyman used to get praised for. That comment was regarding watching him for the u21s. I don't know what your point is? The kid is no where near ready.
