CC : Durham v Worcestershire

800+ days since Durham last lost at home in the Championship I believe. Strange and frustrating to lose that record to Worcestershire of all teams as they've not been in great form at all.

Kashif Ali won that for Worcestershire. Seen him a few times this year and very impressive.

Maybe there’s something in this theory from Bostock that it’s better financially for the club when cricket isn’t being played 🤷‍♂️

Haway man

Brilliant run chase from Somerset to beat Warwickshire. Over 6000 watching the last 2 sessions on the free live stream!

You look at that table and if Durham had beaten Worcs they could have virtually forgotten about the threat of relegation with five games to go.

What on earth were they thinking?
It’s almost like you couldn’t predict those once in a generation overhead conditions in the NE of England. Still fewmin here!

If we had a class spinner we would have beaten Essex. We just got the wrong end of the conditions against Worcestershire which can happen

This the most disappointing result. We ought to have won or at least drawn as we're the better team (I think). We should have done better against Essex but couldn't take the wickets on that pitch and a similar story in other matches with dead pitches or weather effected. And one of the two matches won was down to Stokes bowling really well.

But, having said all of that I didn't expect to win the league, I thought we'd finish somewhere in positions 3-6.

Partly, the overhead conditions couldn't have been known when producing a bowling friendly wicket, but we also batted poor 2nd innings and then bowled poor after lunch on day3.
Yes, but they were aware that it could happen. Could have rectified or lessened it when they saw the impending forecast.
