4 of the top 5 have gifted them the game. Always got to build an innings regardless of opposition. What do we need to avoid the follow on? 270?

291.

We're not even half way there - although in fairness, I've got more confidence in wickets 7-10 scoring 150 than I have 1-6

no but the domino chain it set off still haunts us. this side has been ripped to pieces by the likes of rocky, jennings, borthwick, coughlin, onions etc leaving has left our side a gutted shell of its former strength.
Durham could not afford to keep them with or without the ECBs intervention. That has been highlighted by the lack of replacements they have signed to replace them.

This

There's some right blinkered fuckers in this section of the board.
You must be the same people that frequent the SOL and clap the overpaid tossers off every home game
Haven't been today but I've been a critic of Lewis and Walker for a while now. I just don't see what they're offering at the moment and I said that last season as well. The cricket I've seen so far has been very poor this season.

No Stottie company either. Ageing Trundler became Rumbling Tumbler on my way to leading Spenny II to glorious failure v Cockerton II cum 1sts, the knackers.

I think the Stottie Co and the Burger Van saw the writing was on the wall after the Kent game lasted only 5 sessions.
To be fair to Leics they have ensured this game will last 7 and a bit.

I called it another Mr Smith moment last year, referring back to the trigger for SAFC's downfall.

Nowt for it but to graft.

They missed out on a crispy tenner today.

No, had FTECB not relegated us, some of those players would've likely stayed - so as I say, you can't possibly know what would've happened in different circumstances.
Some likely stayed! Who? The only ones who have left since relegation are Jennings,Coughlin and Onions. You can't count Onions because he wanted to stay but got offered a much better contract at Lancs. So you are left with Jennings and Coughlin. Jennings has been possibly replaced by Smith and Coughlin has not been replaced. Face it mate they are skint and they have known it for a few years and the club hit the buffers. Those indulgent years between 2005 and 2011 are gone. Thats why our signings this season have been two 35 year olds. (one who had been released by his county and the other was an ex state cricketer playing grade cricket).
Yes the ECBs sanctions where over the top but Durham where spending money they never had on players they could not afford and it went pear shaped. The club have to take their share of the responsibility.
For me as a member for over 20 years Iam quite happy to watch a Durham side live within their means and play plenty of players who come through the Academy. If that results in the odd local favorite leaving for a bigger county on a better deal then so be it.

Our predicament still boils my p1ss and will do for a few more years but we just have to be patient and build slowly with Academy lads coming through. It will happen and we should be in a position to retain them with the club being run properly. Better T20 crowds are crucial for providing finance. That needs to be advertised etc better.

More players than that have left since the FTECB shithouse decision.

Gone for a full days parking so no collapses please.

At least we can enjoy the weather. Seem to remember that last seasons early home games involved ski jacket, padded trousers, gloves and woolly hat!

Durham following on after all out for 184

10-0 so far
