Dont know if that was brilliant fielding or bloody lucky from Dexter.
Brilliant .....
Just back.
Raine bowled very well in the morning. Was beating the bat of both batsmen pretty often and getting sideways movement.
Smith had sliced a few balls high through gully earlier - but got out to another high slice with an acrobatic catch from Dexter.
Clark looked pretty good (he does look good recently)
Colly looked ok and had decided on a method of stepping across his stumps and swatting the ball to the leg, which worked ok until Carberry put a fielder into short leg and Colly dollied one up for him.
Richardson looked as if he couldn't quite understand that that hunk of wood he was holding was for, had a swipe and an easy catch in the gully for Dexter
Rimmington got a snorter, jumped up from the pitch and off the shoulder of the bat. That was hard luck for him first ball.
Poynter was hitting the ball ok, then I think went to cut one that kept low. LBW and out.
Weighell. Good lad with the bat. Swipin'
McCarthy. A bit like Weighell (both of those good for a few runs down the order)
and that was the point when I had to come away.
Richardson looks like a weak link in the batting although he's a good fielder, same with Poynter.
Other points ....
- why does WiFi sometimes work and sometimes not? (mostly not)
- why doesn't Austins put the menu on the web site?
- why doesn't the club put the presence of a burger van/Stottie shop on the web site (you know like providing information for attending fans)
- why the BBC radio coverage always at least 2/3 balls behind the live action, would it hurt if it was up to the minute?
- why can't we get clips of the action on the electronic scoreboard?
- well done CLS Council (Durham I suppose now) for not having any working parking machines, makes it a cheap day.
