Marty has just been on and at best it looks like a 50 minute delay (his estimate). But yea, that could be it for the day.It is. Full covers on. Be amazed if we see anymore today

It’s about time the rain benefited us for a changeI called it a day at 4pm...I'm only a mile from the ground and can't see much prospect of any more play today.
Yes and remember Durham scored 500+ against that very same attack only a few weeksago. Vic can't do anything about overhead conditions but leaving grass on the pitch to aid seam appears a very strange decisionThey have a week after this game. Perhaps some of the injuries will recover … who knows.
But before anyone starts slitting wrists. The pitch was a bowling pitch without a doubt, Vic got it wrong it seamed a lot giving a large number of 'bowled' dismissals. And as one of the commentators said, based on first class stats Viljoen and Olivier are a very good opening bowling pair and probably the best in the division.
I think for a couple of the debutants this game will be good experience.

Agree about Harte and I also think Davies has a future. Be unfair to judge him on this match but has shown fine form for the 2nd and only 21 year old.Not for the first time, since Vic got the job are folk questioning the wickets prepared. As for Durham, I continue to be impressed with Harte, looks a very good cricketer, Josh Coughlin great to see as well and hope to see more of him. Today some hideous wickets thrown away, the one by Smith sums Durham up basically. More game time the merrier though for these players, but I'm like a broken record and make no apologies for it, but I really want to see a new coach at the club.
Been away all weekend and just seen the score. Pathetic comes to mind. Our football and cricket teams have been on a similar path over the last few years and neither have been going upwards.
Will DCCC ever be able to get back to their previous position as serious contenders for the major honours, or are the ECB building a new reality akin to the PL where only the elite test ground counties can win? I suspect the later.
cheers VicIt's more towards the Pavilion, rope well in from the County Stand.
Whilst I agree regarding the preparation of the wickets, surely you aren't suggesting that we are producing batsmen that are only capable of playing on batsman friendly wickets, if so they won't have a very good career. Many more wickets like today's though and we won't be able to retain promising young batsmen.
Our Test team are only capable of playing on batsman friendly wickets. The current track makes batting a lottery. We've lost enough players already because of it. Better money, easier job, no brainer.Whilst I agree regarding the preparation of the wickets, surely you aren't suggesting that we are producing batsmen that are only capable of playing on batsman friendly wickets, if so they won't have a very good career.
The opposition players don't seem to have as much troubleAgree about Harte and I also think Davies has a future. Be unfair to judge him on this match but has shown fine form for the 2nd and only 21 year old.

Kent, Leics and Derby all struggled .Leic s scored big but so did we.The opposition players don't seem to have as much trouble
Yep. But it's Day one that always kills us …..Kent, Leics and Derby all struggled .Leic s scored big but so did we.
It will be at 4pm after we have won by 5 runsDown for the last rites..there's about 30 in the ground at present.
Bearing in mind the announcement that the Members Forum will commence after close of play today will this mean 6pm or 12.30pm? ?
