I'll also throw my hat in the ring. For the money they pay managers, I'll happily take all the abuse the crowd can throw at me while playing the revolutionary tactics of choosing players to play in their actual positions. Madness, I know.

Ah FFS Moose, you've just scuppered your own application with common sense....

Come what may, I think we are done regardless. I feel like we are in an irreversible slide and the irony is that I always thought we would get out of it last season, despite being in a worse position.

I hope I am wrong but the game of Russian roulette was always going to get us in the end.

Get Strachan in until the end of the season, he would be my choice.

It does have an inevitable feel about it. Depends on who we get in IMO.

What about his job with the skirt wearers? Do they have any matches between now and the end of the season? I'd sound out Venables, did a great fire fighting job at Boro, maybe too long out of the game like but he could steer Bally right, just a thought....

Glenn Hoddle will be one of the names in the frame to replace Poyet, who should be informed he has been sacked on Monday.

Paul Lambert, sacked by Villa last month after the Midlands club had also begun to fear dropping into the Championship, may also be considered by director of football Lee Congerton as might former Rangers and Holland manager Dick Advocaat.

However, there is no guarantee either man will be willing to take the job, particularly as their position will be assessed again at the end of the season, whether they keep the Black Cats in the top flight or not.

:rolleyes::lol::evil:
