Haven't read the thread, so this has probably been said, he's a good player but as thick as a castle wall.

The inconsistency of the officials is a f***ing joke though.

At full speed it looked a red but seeing it a few times I think it's a little harsh. I can understand why he's deemed it to be dangerous/reckless and shown red but it wasn't that bad.

Brady should have gone too really as Dossena's was dreadful.

He just never learns does he, a complete and utter liability. Yes I know he shouldn't have got a red but he keeps putting himself in those situations, the lad has no future in this league at this club or anywhere else.

He didn't touch him at all, it was a late tackle one footed yellow card.

A daft tackle which gave the referee the opportunity to send him off, but it was a yellow if anything for me. From the camera angle I seen it doesn't look like he touched Elmohammady, but he was sent off for the intent. Brady's tackle on Johnson was much worse and should have been a red.

Dossena's tackle was a cowards tackle and deserved the red card.

Potentially there is a very good player in there but as you say, he does not learn.

It wasn't a red. He should know that he cant go in like that though, he's a marked man and Marriner couldn't wait to send him off. He'll never realise this though cos he's clearly thick as mince.

Has he got history with that referee ? Something got him wound up yesterday, he seemed able to keep a lid on his temper since he came back into the side and that included the derby where you'd expect him to be on a short fuse. As has been mentioned it was like watching a car crash in slow motion, you could sense it coming the longer the game went on.
As rash as the tackle was I do think had it been done by say Scott Parker, Steven Gerard or Kevin Nolan they would have got a stern talking to and a yellow card.

If Scott Parker, Steven Gerrard etc. had dived in like Cattermole did yesterday, all those saying it wasn't a sending off would be screaming for a red card.

He was useless and kept passing the ball to Hull players and getting caught in possession.

hows it a harsh red? says it all when he headed for the tunnel without even looking at the ref, cant do it anymore
Saw the ref going to his back pocket, what else is he meant to do? Yes it was a stupid challenge and it showcased Catts' lack of brain, but if you don't think it was harsh then you're just plain f***ing wrong.

No it doesn't.

The refs keep their red card in their back pocket, yellow in the top pocket. As soon as Mariner goes for his back pocket Cattermole walks. I think he showed great restraint as it was a harsh red, according to me, Jamie Redknapp, Tony Adams etc...

If it means Cabral gets the incentive to turn up and play it may prove a blessing in disguise. Far better player than Catts.
