Catts Back

Anyone who doesn't think our midfield wouldn't be lifted by Catts at this point in time is a bit of a f***ing bell. Let's be honest here.

He takes 4 or 5 matches to get up to speed if any of his past layoffs are any gauge... And the ramp up typically includes some shock and awe - usually not in a good way...

Here's hoping he hits the pitch at full clip..

Yep can't disagree with that, don't think we have enough games left to see a fully fit Catts but he's guaranteed to stoke them up in midfield.

he will bring absolutely nowt to our midfield. We've got plenty of people in tbere with no pace or guile who like to sit deep already.

People saying leadership quality - the lad is a waste of time. Roy Keane hit the nail on the head in his assessment.

We know we have missed catts.
Many thought we missed larsson and borini, then 4 games in they are the new scapegoats as is the way.
With catts supported by 3 very very average midfield players in larson, gibson and rodwell anyone suggesting he is the cavalry coming to th rescue needs a reality check.

What happens when Cattermole comes back and he doesn't make much difference? Do we then start finding a different excuse - Kirchhoff maybe?

Whilst it's a positive he is back he's not our saviour and most likely won't make a big enough difference to help results change for the better.
He's a decent player at this level and no more than that.

Still love him though lads.

Larrsson coming back was apparently a boost and anyone who couldn't see it where idiots!
Borini coming back was apparently a boost and anyone who couldn't see it where idiots.
Now we have catts as the next caped crusader who for vast majority of his time here has been completely ordinary. Better than what we have in midfield at present yes but that's damning with faint praise.

IF he's fit enough to do himself justice, he will help us. We need Victor back too though, he effects the shape of the game more and enables us to start attacks much higher up the pitch
Adnan gets similar stick to that that the other AJ used to get. Much of it is unfair as he often receives the ball either on halfway line or right on touchline double banked.

The double boost of Catts energy and Victors holding ball up would make a significant difference - but in reality it's too late
