Cattermole- keep or sell

Get rid, absolute liability. We need players who can actually move and not run after the ball for 20 minutes (getting nowhere near) and then blow out of his arse for the rest of the game.

Someone that can also pass and tackle would be nice too.

Get rid, the apathy has gone on too long and i don't think he can muster enough enthusiasm to be competitive. i'd love to be wrong mind.

Sell.

Injury prone, never looks fit enough to last the match, struggles with basic passes and tackles, picks up cards too easily, unenthusiastic and didn't motivate the team. Can't see any good reasons for keeping him.

Thought he would boss the championship after that 1st game against Derby.
He didn't.

Not as bad as made out on here, however if we can move him off the wage bill we should.

I am not a Cattermole badger but can anyone say he did enough last season to justify his retention.

Keep. He's close to getting a testimonial. Been a while since we had one of those. I'd like to see him get one.

A lot gets said about there being no loyalty to teams from players, but where is the loyalty to loyal players from fans? Catts has been with us through thick and thin and he's still here now, so I reckon he deserves some respect.

We've been told by the owners that wages aren't a problem, so complaining about being able to get "four betters players for the same wage" is as irrelevant as it is bollocks (if it were possible to get four better players for the price then why would anyone want to buy him from us?)

Does the question even need asking?! Sell - he's hopeless / past it and on daft money for the league / offering nowt. Doubt we'll get owt for him mind - probably need to offer a freebie out of here to someone.

Imo it's best for him and us if he leaves. There is no getting away from it he was abysmal last season

Much like with JOS, I think we need a whole new fresh start. That and Cattermole has always frustrated me as a player. If he stays this year, I'd not want him in a Championship team. He clearly isn't the leader we need, despite when we see him getting pumped up during matches. Clearly hasn't had an effect on anyone on the pitch

All that and the fact he has no pace. I remember when he got sent off on Gyan's debut, turned like an oil tanker and when he put his tackle in he was a 3 yards off the pace.

From what I have read up on Jack Ross' teams he will last approximately 23 minutes from kick-off before blowing out out of his backside and requesting to be subbed.

Not sure we will have a choice
This
I have been a fan of Lee over the years and i honestly thought if kept fit he would boss the championship but it was obvious from early on injuries have taken their toll. He is shot to bits and to top it all he is on a ridiculous contract (money and length).
If an offer came in, literally any offer we would be down right stupid not to take it.
Unfortunately that isn't going to happen is it?
He will still have his admirers but the only club stupid enough to match that contract is Villa and the mess they are in he certainly won't be going there.
Best we can hope for is a seasons loan somewhere i expect.
