Hopefully its the start of something for the young people of Cuba, who have been ruled by 80-odd year olds for a long time.
There are a lot of good things about Cuba as it is, but a lot more needs fixing there, physically, politically and economically.
Sounds like it all blew up in your face at the last minute.I once came second in a Fidel Castro lookalike competition.
Close, but no cigar.
I was there in the late 90s. Fidel was on the telly giving one of his epic speeches when, all of a sudden, his teeth fell out. He managed to catch them with the tip of his tongue, and continued talking as he probed them back into place. I thought it was hilarious, but nobody else was laughing.
The best things about Cuba, ironically, are due to its isolation: the crumbling architecture, the 50s American cars, the music. There's huge potential, but I hope economic progress isn't at the expense of Cuba's identity. If the Miami Cubans come back en masse, it'll rapidly become just another American outpost.
Was a close Che-ve mate.I once came second in a Fidel Castro lookalike competition.
Close, but no cigar.
Guerilly like that pun.Was a close Che-ve mate.
Something revolutionary about that joke.Guerilly like that pun.
So you played second Fidel?I once came second in a Fidel Castro lookalike competition.
Close, but no cigar.
