Anyone watching this on prime? Pretty good so far, decent story and the politics is very topical.

Premise- A human detective and a fairy rekindle a dangerous affair in a Victorian fantasy world; the city's uneasy peace collapses when a string of murders reveals an unimaginable monster.

Watched first two. Undecided, bit ripper St meets Lord of the rings. Will give another couple a go.

Wiki has only reviewed the first four episodes, but hasn't bothered with the last four.

Make of that what you will, but perhaps nobody willing to write a precis made it past the halfway mark of the season ...

EDIT: I'll give it a go when I can.

It's not very good.

A huge mish mash of cliches from different fantasy and sci fi novels all rolled into one. Looks great, but fails to create a fully realised world

Not a patch on Meivelles City and the City from a few months back

Spot on that like.

Watched the first and it was a right slog. Can't be arsed to go back to it.
You're right about the realisation too - for all the supposed back story and lore and the good sets, it really is shallow as fuck. And the CGI is shit.
