Carl Winchester

Alongside Power, Scowen and Leadbitter, he's good but he's no miracle worker

Yeah but he didn’t look better than any of them. I’m fairly sure a really good league one midfielder would have stood above them. He didn’t.

But credit to him for his performances this season at right back. He’s done a very good job and completely alleviated the concerns about that position in pre-season

He’s decent at right back where he isn’t required to play on the half turn or make things happen. He’s doing a very good job there.

Completely absent when he played in central midfield though; risk averse, uninfluential, shouldn’t have been played there before Neil last season.

We're a different dynamic now with Neill and Embleton both featuring in a 4-2-3-1. We're doing well as a team and Winchester has been excellent at right back so no reason to change things, but he might fit in better now alongside those two.

I think Winchester has made the right back his now
however going on what Johnson’s said about Neil
maybe his first place in the team will be limited

Was excellent again today. Shame he didn't have that extra burst of pace when Stewarts (who was also really good) flick put him through.

First he's been possibly one of our most improved players this season. Doing great.

Today though just the one moment for their first, feel asleep when their player turned inside off his left for the slotted pass and goal. Brain running and he reads that movement. Baily to blame too.
