Are they not trying to prove that McKay artificially inflated his value by giving the impression that there was more demand than there was? I'd imagine to try and reduce the fee owed rather than get out of it all together.

Maybe, but even if they found that he did so, they still made an offer which was accepted so still owe all of the money to Nantes, assuming he was registered in time. If they want to believe stories put about by agents that's up to them surely! Hell, most of us have bought houses and most have probably had estate agents bullshitting us about how if we don't put a higher bid in some, often none existent, other buyer will get it. We can't go and get money back off the house if we later prove there wasn't other interest, it's still on us for making the bid

Or force McKay to pay something towards the final costs?

Yes but not by us.

If you're being honest mate, this is just entertainment for you ... nothing to do with justice.

This happens with every 'conspiracy' whereby people portray themselves as 'seekers of the truth' but it's just another way to pass time on the internet.

aye you are probably right on both counts

I give up now on thinking that organisations, systems are inherently honest.

They will portray an image, that they want the world to see them as. they will trot out written excuse from the excuse manual, hoping that will shut people up. normally starts something like "we take all allegations of ******** extremely seriously and will conduct a thorough investigation into ******** and leave no stone unturned. which means, were telling you nothing and you will have forgotten all about this in 6 months time, so who cares.

I do look for truth, but the media out there want there story at the slant they want to put on it.

same with all political party's.

They don't do what is best for the people. They want their idealology, irrespective of circumstance. how can a country with the largest oil reserves in the world be in such a bad shape.

and you are right, today is a slow day but nearly an hour until endeavour is on and can crack open a bottle.

Yeah, just doing my family e-mails and waiting for Endeavour to turn up ...

... I never have a clue what's going on there either

Absolutely disgusting Cardiff here. What difference does it make if other clubs were interested? They signed him, the ink was dry. Then try and play the sympathetic card, we will do do the right thing blah blah blah. They are making this media circus by not paying what they owe. Hope they get relegated 6 times and get thrashed by Prestatyn in the Wales Sunday vase amateurs cup.

Cardiff happy to take the media attention around this and the support. Now are worming out of it and looking like arseholes.
Tin hat on, but I almost found it a bit weird how much they over egged it. Fans with Argentina scarves, Warnock crying, flags and banners. As a club they didn't even know Sala. I understand Nantes players and fans being gutted.

there are a lot of ifs and buts still to be sorted and that was stated by a member of Salas family.

there are certainly a lot of things out there that we don't know as fact.

plane disappeared on 21 jan. 10 days before transfer window closed. was the deal actually done completely prior to then.

has the player been registered with PL / FA. Have both clubs sent all the relevant documentation to authorities and if so when was that received by them.

why was there a delay in flight times. IIRC correctly the flight was delays by about 10 hours. why. was there an issue.

was the plane used competent enough to fly over a large body of water at night.

was the plane paid for by the agent. why the rush. why not wait until morning

questions about pilot but not on this thread
Whilst you make some valid points about the incident, none of it is relevant for Cardiff owing the transfer fee.

It could be just hope on my part, but if I was right then it's the sort of episode that could make the FA and whoever else finally turn on the agents.

They are the ones who will burst the bubble of the Premier League eventually, by driving up prices while there's plenty of money around - much the same as the role the property agents played their part in the crash of the market in 2008. Not the only ones with blame as they don't control the money coming into the market - but still a major part of the problem.

Cardiff were happy enough giving Scudamore £500k towards his golden retirement fund or whatever they called. They should pay the money they owe for their striker.

I believe at auctions they sometimes do something called ‘off the wall’ bids where no one is actually bidding. It’s perfectly legal so someone upping the price like this isn’t in my opinion going to be anything Cardiff can use to get the fee lowered.

Hope they get full on Alvarezed, the horrible twats. Suspect more than a few Cardiff fans would rather they just paid up and didn't embarrass them.
