Cardiff's lawyers - Sala

All of this needs a media ban, it needs sorting out as it's a large amount of money but the facts and wording of the media is going to make this look completely disrespectful and should be kept in house until a ruling is made.
While I don’t necessarily agree with media bans per se, some kind of informal agreement between the tabloids, where the media show some f***ing respect in situations of a legal/sensitive personal nature, such as this, and just don’t report it until it’s more appropriate to do so (facts established, resolved) would be grown up and refreshing.

Getting weird this. Really don't want to part with money.
It’s one of those really unfortunate things, while I can get why both clubs involved in this would obviously want to explore all legal avenues available to them with the amount of money at stake, what makes it really sad, is that there’s no way that you can really report something like this without making it seem like you’re reducing a young lad who has tragically died to little more than a financial asset/liability. Which is why the media should just show some decency and not report it until the matter is resolved in a satisfactory manner.

I’ve read that article and I’m still none the wiser as to what it is Cardiff are trying to prove tbh.
That it's entirely not their fault that they got themselves in bother by choosing to have dealings with one of the shadiest agents out there.

They have as much chance of support over this as we had with Alvarez.
They agreed to sign Sala so now they are surely obliged to meet the terms of the deal despite the unforeseen outcome.

Reported in Welsh papers that Cardiff have written to a few PL clubs asking if they had any interest in signing Sala.

The agent involved is accused of manipulating a situation for his player to be signed so the legal team at Cardiff are looking in to the situation.

Cardiff City ask Premier League clubs for help over Sala fee dispute

Sorry. Link.

Odd one that. Even if the other clubs confirm they were never interested in signing him I don't see how that would affect whether Cardiff owe the money. Surely they can't be trying to argue that they only bought him because they thought others were interested as well? Clubs and agents plant stories about alleged interest all the time, it's not illegal in any way. Absolutely understand them looking into it and ensuring he was registered as their player etc, but don't understand this angle at all

I honestly don't know but I'm not surprised Palace have been mentioned because we get reported to be after every player in the world.
