Car Wash

There was a post where someone had taken their car to plains farm hand car wash and they'd damaged the car but were denying it even though it was on camera.

Mayfair’s canny. Never had any damage from there. They’ve got washing machines and an acme mangle for the cloths so there won’t be any scratches.
Probably .

If you value your car then do it yourself, those hand washes may be "handy" but they use very cheap materials
and can seriously damage the paintwork.

I finally got the opportunity to do mine this morning. The last few weeks or so I’ve had to postpone it due to unexpectedly being asked to work that day the day before, bad weather or whatever. I use GardX. It looks incredible now. It gleams having been so filthy. It’s harder work but the trade off is job satisfaction. Pride in your work. I did it. Not some random guy probably on JSA who I don’t know who knows jack shit about car care.

I took the opportunity to use my Karcher Window Vac to make the windows shine. And the alloys look great.

I don’t know why anyone would be so lazy as to go to a car wash.
Get a mobile valet to come to your door, pay a bit more but quality is much better.

It’s far harder work to than a two-bit car wash. I sent a spec letter to a valeting company on the quayside in Newcastle and spent a day washing the Mercs for a chauffeur company in the sand building which were based in the top floor of the Copthorne car park. I was shattered but it’s a good job. You start of with Clios but as word spreads develop to doing Audis and Ferraris.

I've been using Brit Wash (Eastern Europeans ) for a couple of years and they've been bang on. First time it was a really fit lass. Next time her mam. Next time her gran. They do a good job. Left then right coming off Alexander Bridge Sothbound.

If you go to Sturgis bike rally in America they have female bike wash attendants. There is usually a queue.

Just washed, snow foamed, shampoo’d, polished and waxed mine, took a few hours cost 80 quid in kit and looks no better than an automatic car wash 😆. My paint work is horrific like, don’t think there’s a panel left without some scratch on. Bonnet looks like a photo of the moon.

Oh and me hands aching and I’ve developed fingerers elbow.

The price puts me off 4x4 £30 for the basics going up to £90 I saw the other day,
I had an outside tap fitted that I can use hot water with for £70 a few years ago, did mine today, washed, Alloys cleaned, tyres shined, waxed, and vac in about an hour, it looks great, didn't cost more than a fiver, I bet it rains tomorrow
