Get that mondeo bought man! Stay clear of the scenic as it will bankrupt you! If you're going down the 7 seat route have a look at s max and galaxys but not sure what you'll get for 4k.What to take camping with the kids ??
Tbf i did recommend him 2 petrol cars early on in the thread.Dunno why folk on here are recommending diesels. 30p a litre more expensive, ridiculously more expensive to fix when they go wrong. I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole at the moment.![]()

Aye seen one of them like was temptedHaven’t read the full thread but if style isn’t too important then my Kia Ceed SW has been 100% reliable and cost nothing in repairs apart from tyres and brakes. Get 50 plus to the gallon ( diesel), 30 quid tax and less than 300 quid a year fully comp. Now ten years old but you’d get a newer one for 3.5k and often they’ve been owned by boring middle aged or older folk that look after them.

I had that exact model and colour back in 2010 as a company car. What a workhorse that was, in 100,000 miles (the warranty period) we only claimed for 1 cv boot. Parts are quite expensive though. They are quite basic so not as much too go wrong compared to the later ones, I had all sorts changed in the newer ceeds in warranty including the whole entertainment system and cornering lightsVehicle is not found. I think that’s probably 500 quid too much at that price going off autotrader prices.Vehicle is not found. Please search again

It's 13 years old, what do you expect?Had a canny few advisory’s last mot
Sure the corrosion of the sub frame is a problem
- a) (ii))
- Offside Rear brake disc been hot with binding brake
- hand brake travel very high
- bonnet catch siezed
- Nearside Rear Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement trailing perished (5.3.4 (a) (i))
- Offside Rear Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement trailing arm bush (5.3.4 (a) (i))
- Nearside Rear Coil spring corroded (5.3.1 (b) (i))
- Offside Rear Coil spring corroded (5.3.1 (b) (i))
- Rear Sub-frame corroded but not seriously weakened (5.3.3 (b) (i))
- Play in steering rack inner joint(s) both rack ends
- Nearside Front Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e))
They’re much stricter on advisory where there is some corrosion on things like springs that are probably fine. Most of those issues aren’t massively expensive but if a few actually needed doing in close proximity it would be a wounder. Of course my Kia ceed would also have brake advisories on the last MOT but they’ve been done since so some of those may have been sorted. On balance though I think you’d probably be able to get what looks like a better buy for that money.Had a canny few advisory’s last mot

Got the mondeo estate 2010 titanium full ford service history drove it home last night from rochdale lovely to drive on the motorway just cruises, only thing I’ve noticed is the headlights are halogen and look crap and the lower sport fog lights are led looks f***ing stupid can I just change the headlight bulbs or will it need new headlights ?Keep us updated!
Looks OK that
Nice find. You can find better halogen bulbs. I'm in the same boat with my 2009 Focus and after coming from something with great LEDs its a bit frustrating at night. I think I read somewhere that if you get an MOT and the car does not come with original fitted type headlights then its a fail, so no changing out halogen headlights for LED, Xenon or HIDs etc (might be wrong on that).Got the mondeo estate 2010 titanium full ford service history drove it home last night from rochdale lovely to drive on the motorway just cruises, only thing I’ve noticed is the headlights are halogen and look crap and the lower sport fog lights are led looks f***ing stupid can I just change the headlight bulbs or will it need new headlights ?
