Car under 3500

I had a 2011 1.7 dti
Loved it . Drives like a hatch but 7 seats . Went well . The new Tourer is a much bigger car .
6 speed gearboxes have issues but mine was great . Drove it around Europe with family
Sounds good we want something for camping in the summer

I’ve got a 10 year old Toyota Yaris. 103k on the clock and still runs like a dream, never had a single problem with it in the 7 years I’ve had it. It’s going the journey soon though, as we have 2 cars in the household and my mrs works in the local school only a 10 min walk to work - 2 cars makes no sense in this economic climate. Would defo recommend Toyota though.

My mate had one for 10 years. When it was time to get a new car, he got another. Can't say fairer than that.

What’s this like ?

It’s not easy to determine much from a picture and description. (Good that only one owner for 10 years) Obviously take a good look at the body work and inside wear and tear. AND when buying higher mileage cars service history and previous mot’s ;I always keep mine. Good idea to take someone along who knows a bit about cars but if unable then insist on a warranty. Even if it’s a short term one. One little tip. Contact the previous owner and ask him a question or two if he’s willing.

The best Diesel engine ever fitted to a Vauxhall tbf, no surprise it went well for you.

Coming up to 100k will be due a belt if it has one, which iirc it does. They aren’t a patch on the 1.9 diesel, which is the one to go for, without a shadow of doubt, if you can find one.

Edit.It’s engines fucked
Am not arsed to be fair it’s only 3800 quid so not like it’s mega money it’s just to run about in and go camping with the kids in the summer it’s more about getting what’s best for my needs and having enough room not exactly gonna be cruising the seafront in it :):)

My last two have neen from wigan and nottingham . I think nowt of going 100 miles + if it looks the business, youre going to have it years makes sense to travel to get the right one .
I know but it’s just the thought of getting there and it’s shit and you have wasted a journey
Went to see one in Durham Monday described as excellent condition the driver side seat was ripped to fuck passenger side door wasn’t even aligned with the fender been nearly took off the hinges with the wind or hit by something
