Anyone going through a claim at the moment?
Raised a claim 16.01.23 and my car hasn't even been looked at yet. Been told that its down to the time of year (amount of accidents) and parts shortages.
Anyone else having delays or is my insurance company just shite? Hastings btw.

Yep - Admiral

Claim lodged pre-Christmas. Repair booked in for 16th Feb

Not a major damage claim and car still driveable thankfully

Not the same I know, but my car had a fault and getting it looked and and repaired by Arnold Clarke was a pain. Ford ended up giving me a hire car through Enterprise until it was eventually sorted.

Parts shortages and availability was the main factor, and I can't imagine they'd dish out hire cars if there wasn't some truth in that.

2 months! Its been two weeks and I'm pissed off
Car is driveable but technically not road worthy as no driver headlight or indicator.

Aye, they used the courtesy car card too. Repairs are taking longer means the turnaround of courtesy cars is affected

Mine said there was no courtesy cars, so I booted off and they hired me one instead.

Mind, the hire car was a pig - it got a flat tyre at the match, drove to kwik-fit who said 2/4 tyres were bald and illegal so wouldn't let me drive it.... Had to spend 10 hours mooching around Sunderland while it was getting sorted

My car was hit by a guy reversing out of a parking bay as I was passing directly behind him . This was 7.45 am Dec 9th last year . The lad was spot on in terms of accepting liability and by 13.00 same day his insurance (Hastings) had arranged a hire care thru Enterprise which I collected that afternoon. FMG from Durham took my car for evaluation on Tuesday 13th Dec - it needed 2 new doors on the passenger side - and it was returned to me on 6th Jan which was pretty good I reckon considering Xmas and all that . They even fixed a couple of things totally not connected to the bump

Got a courtesy car for 2 days, they told me mine was written off straight away (admirel), so took it straight back, in the small print apparently, surely I should have 1 until the claim is settled 😂

They couldn't stop you

but yes there is a massive shortage of parts, wonder what caused it.....

They reckoned because they'd taken the wheels off they couldn't put them back on knowing they were illegal... And authorisation from Enterprise took an age cos they only had premium tyres and no cheapies.
