I wonder would it have been possible for the train to derail if the barrier had landed differently. f***ing scumbag.
You can't say that with any certainty unless youre a network rail expert. No, it wouldn't

Would have loved it if the train hit the car!

I was thinking more, he could have easily killed someone else in the chase, then being stupid enough to do that, there was only one outcome he deserved
And had the train hit him there may well have been fatalities on that........
If nothing else, it's shocking, disgusting and reckless acts of lunacy like that which make me as a newbie, and I hope other newbies to driving, those with less than a years driving under their belt, feel a lot more confident in their own abilities and not feel as nervous and as aprehensive every time they get in a car because they know one or more drivers could at any time pull out on them any one or more of the myriad of dangerous manouvers in their repetoir.
Is there any reason why insane lunatics like that one cannot have his license revoked indefinitely? And have a much longer license ban imposed on other serious offenses like drink driving?
With the standards of driving tests at a much better level (I know that first hand) which is resulting in a much better output of better skilled drivers, I think we need to see a total blanket shift in the current generation of car driving people where those who are both new and older drivers with a good level of aptitude at car driving take more control of the UK road network and lunatics like that and those who drink never see a road again.
The other day my dad was quite critical of one or two things I do to control my car on our way to the Freeman Hospital to see mum (Though I got quite upset by that personal criticism about my driving I did try not to listen to them too much and be content to keep doing it my way). But my style works for me and I seem to do alright. I just need to get my eye in a bit more. So I really want to keep doing it my way.
If it works, if it is a safe way for your yourself and others and is an effective way, where is the problem in letting that be the common sight on UK roads?
