Can't wait for this magical new manager

Managers certainly have an effect but Mowbray has had us playing creating plenty of chances. It’s unrealistic to expect another to manager to get us to make even more chances when it’s something we’re already good at. Not sure what more Mowbray or a new manager could do any differently

Feel like I’m stating the obvious but changes in shape, personnel, patterns of play, possession triggers and a million of tactical adjustments could make us more opportunities to be more clinical.

I’m not knocking Mowbray by the way. He’s created one of my favour teams to watch over the last 30years, he gave Clarke, Roberts and Amad the platform and they took full opportunity. But if you aren’t moving forward you are standing still, teams found out the way to frustrate and nullify is. Regrettably Mowbray and his staff couldn’t find the solution to move us forward.

Big pressure now on the club to find the man who can.

You think this squad should be showing relegation form and no better?

Absolute rubbish

When? We haven't played good football for ages.

We've lost about 30 odd goals from last season. The career records of Rusyn, Hemir, Aouchiche, Mayenda, Burstow, Bellingham suggests we haven't replaced much of that, being honest barring Rusyn who has had one season in double figures we've replaced pretty much none of it.

Given many of those were teenagers or just over 20 on arrival and of limited experience its no surprise its probably going to be an up and down season, where the top half would be a stretch.

Love all of them to prove me wrong but been watching us since I was 5 almost 40 years be stunned if Hemir & Burstow make it at even league 1 level.
Saw first game in 1964....tend to agree with you but hope we can get these lads more involved not 60 minutes here 10 minutes there they might just surprise us FTM

We haven’t been playing badly and have been dominant in a lot of games we’ve dropped points, a decent striker would have made the difference. I don’t know what you expect a new manager to try that will make any difference. It was always going to be difficult replicating getting a playoff spot with the players we lost and we’re not exactly a million miles away from doing it.

When the problem is the recruitment I don’t see the point in replacing the coach

I would like a manager who has more in his locker than 'Pass the ball to clarkey'.

We are getting worse by the week.

Got to give them a proper run in the team to see if they can score goals oh and pass the ball to them when they do play

This is not a B side, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world for Christ sake. They should not be in the first team until they are ready to contribute. By any assessment all 4 strikers are not worthy of a start

So you think this squad is only capable of relegation form? A yes or no will do.

A simple yes or no won't do as you're trying to force an argument where only current form is used and are somehow trying to extrapolate that over an entire season, despite the absolute fact at this point we are 9th with 27 points after 19 games.

For this squad although current form is poor, 9th is more than decent.

Ba had a couple of decent games when Roberts was injured then he's become his usual self in missing chances, miscontrollong the ball and falling over. His distribution has largely been poor when he's got any time to think about it as well.

Recently his appearance as a sub have been largely poor and the start at the weekend was too.

Roberts has been off form - granted, but he's a far superior player and when you lack quality and experience allover the pitch its probably a better idea to manage the situation and try and play your better players back into form and that's probably what he's been doing with Roberts.

Is a 20-year-old lad not allowed dips in performances? Have you not considered that being dropped to the bench after making key contributions to the team could have affected his confidence?

Because the young lads are too busy with their fidget spinners and clackers to take the instructions on board.
No just lack of understanding and experience of it. That's why top teams farm their kids out to the lower Leagues, to play and learn the game. At the minute, we are an experiment. Not a club looking to reach the top league

There’s a reason why other clubs aren’t clamouring to “catch up” and adopt the “let’s pack the place with cheap inexperienced foreign kids” model.

It’s because it’s a f***ing nonsense.

Fair comment but Amad

Amad didn't hit the ground running last season but did when he got regular games...not saying that's gonna happen again but don't want to write them off just yet especially Mayenda

If he was producing form at the time he was dropped to the bench he likely wouldn't have been - he wasn't.

A 20 year old is allowed dips in form, but players have to take the chances that are given - Ba has simply been too inconsistent in any position he's played so far.

And the reason we were not moving forward had nothing to do with no credible striker, no holding midfielder, the loss of Batth, Stewart, Amad and even Gooch who impacted a game more than all but one player we bought in pre season.
We have not bought one player in two windows who have improved this team. Let that sink in and then blame the manager for not moving forward.
It’s a miracle what he has got out of that squad this season

Different formations not Bradley dack not having players he'd never drop like onien or rarely drop no matter how they play like Roberts, also his man management of criticism of the strikers constantly didn't help
I only really see your point about Dack. He should be nowhere near the team at present.

Neither should Ba or Seelt which makes your other 2 points pretty much nul and void.

🙈... seriously mate he was £25m Man Utd player. If you think that these lads were ever going to be of the same quality having just watched them once, I just don’t know what to say. Why don’t you quote ‘but Wayne Rooney’ or ‘but Jobes brother’. We pick up other people’s offcasts man.
The big big question is why did we stop buying ex premiership players.

Roberts is basically our 2nd best player to watch after Clarke. He's in our top 5 players performance wise. Clarke, Ballard and Neil the only players who are definitely better than him

He starts every week for me.

He was producing. He contributed in the wins against Southampton, QPR and Blackburn. The Cardiff game followed next and he created a couple of chances. Wasn't at his best but who was? Then Roberts came back in. After that, limited minutes and moved around. Mowbray has handled a few players poorly this season.
