Can we relocate the poyet 433

Fuck this inverted fullback nonsense off

Play onein or hume as a DM and they can drop deep as a third cb when necessary

When we have the ball this allow the fullbacks to keep wide and stretch the pitch opening up space

Is this not something obvious to try?

Our wingers are starved of support, width creates space and then problems. We don’t work a defence hard enough and this could help. Try this and attempt to get round a defence for cutbacks rather than cutting inside to a low block or bodies

Massive issue not having either Cirkin or Alese. No one left footed who plays left hand side either full back or wing. All too predictable coming infield.

Given we're deliberately not playing that easy on the right though I'm not sure it would make much difference.

You wonder why given the success we've had from Huggins, cirkin, alese etc pushing forward on the left why we're ignoring that tactic on the right

Centre of the pitch is far too congested

Weirdly bar the last 2 that Adil has started we've actually played more of a 433/4141 this season rather than a 4231, to accommodate Jobe who's more of an attacking 8 than an out & out 10. I think at times this has brought out the best in Neill & Jobe but it's been to the detriment of Ekwah who hasn't looked at all comfortable in the DM role.
Personally I think a lot can be made of systems, these 2 are essentially the same only in one you play a link man in front the central 2 & behind the forwards & in the other you sacrifice him to have one sitting in front of the defence but this should allow the central 2 to push on a bit.
As has been said already most of the problems we've had this season stem from the fact that whether we play 4231 or 433/4141 for some strange reason the manager doesn't want the fullbacks to bomb on anymore which is why we've become overly reliant on the wingers as there's no width coming from anywhere else & its made the wingers jobs harder because there's no support on the overlap then you've got the inverted fullbacks getting in the way of the cm's & being caught out of position by the opposition with a simple ball pver the top onto the dpace they've vacated. It's a ridiculous tactic that should have been binned long before now, it might work for Man City but we're not Man City, I'm fed up of Mowbray overcomplicating things.
O’Nien should have been the CDM all season really. Perfect role for him.
I think so too

Tin hat on but if as we were told Huggins needed to be rested against Huddersfield I'd have loved to have seen Ellis Taylor come in at Lb & provide exactly that. Huddersfield were one of the worst sides to come to the sol in the Championship yet went away with the points because we were oh so predictable & Seelt at rb completely stunted us.
