can we blame the low crowd tonight for our piss poor performance

Care to explain how arsenal and man utd do well every season then?

not sure what you mean, both of those teams have great players so they will win more than lose. on our day we have beaten both as underdogs and just about every time i can remember our crowd had a massive influence.

were you at the man utd game at roker when we were 2 down and came back to win 3-2 for example. our supporters were like rabid f**king dogs that day and literally "forced" the victory.

it isn't just a roker thing. didn't we will the players on against arsenal in the cup last year.

the day the supporters don't believe they can influence the "odd" game in the "right circumstances" they might as well stop going.

our crowd played no part whatsoever last night.

The OP has a point. I am only 5'8" but I felt like a giant. Where were all the tall lads? It was one of the lowest crowds I've ever been in at the SoL.

You are a wanker.

Perhaps, but i'd stop short of phoning a fellow Sunderland fan who has a disabled girlfriend who sits in the disabled section at the SoL and mocking her to look clever in the pub in front of my marras.

our crowd played no part whatsoever last night.

we played a part in paying for our ticket, getting to the game in some bad weather conditions and for most resisting form booing the inept players.

As basic as it sounds if the players had shown some fight and will to win in the early stages that would have iunfluenced the game a hell of a lot more than the fans could do. Cattermole came on and was desperate to win which actually got the crowd slightly animated which goes to show that the players can influence the crowd also.

Piston, TLR, clock stand all wanking about how good the atmosphere was at roker every game only for people who were there to shoot them down and say it wasnt as good as theyre making out. Brilliant :lol:

you should watch the man utd 3-2 game at roker then. or the chelsea 2-1 cup game. or the many many others where the crowd influenced the game.

i gave the courtesy of saying it wasn't just a roker "thing". sheff utd was one at the SOL. i also mentioned arsenal in the cup last year.

the atmosphere at football matches in general is f**king terrible nowadays. i genuinely feel sorry if you couldn't see a big match at roker when everyone was up for it. its a tragedy that younger fans think that the cinema style support is normal. i'm not taking the piss fella, its genuinely sad if you never got the chance to feel it.

No I realised I was wrong, we've already been over this.

Are you a bit dolly dimple?

Ironically the 1st question you asked the poor disabled lass i'm told.

Doesn't get much lower than mocking fellow SAFC fans because they have a disability. I've got a good mind to go to the Echo about this.

 give your head a shake man, it would have to be a hell of a slow news day for even the Echo to print it.

back on point anyway now that you have firmly established the morale high ground and laboured the error of Rocky's foolhardy ways for which I beleive he apologised

When it's one of their writers involved?

I doubt they would print it tho mate, its over with now tho surely? its only you who keeps bringing it back up.

What benefit would you or indeed said disabled girl get out of you speaking to the Echo about it?
