Can the lasses win the title?

Aye there was a throwaway line that 'Sunderland remain top' followed by footage of Chelsea.

Not Beth Mead scoring her 5th goal in 2 games.

That was the previous day. It was a snippet on BBC sports. I don't think there is a massive media conspiracy to undermine Sunderland. They love a David v Goliath story and if the lasses keep going it will be an immense achievement.

i hope they do it

Went down to Bristol on Saturday to watch the game. Beth's top notch and just has that instinct to find the net. They played well against an improved Bristol side and the game could have went either way. however, once the 3 rd went in the Bristol lases heads dropped. Good thing was Carlton kept screaming at them to get the ball down and play. They were much better once they started doing that.

Stopped over in Birmingham on the way back and got drowned watching Birmingham v Liverpool.

Still fancy MCLFC to win the league but if we can keep Meado fit we are well in with a shout.

that's the key, we seemed lost against Durham without her.

I think the problem the woman have is the ground is too far away for a lot of people. If the team played in a ground more central I could see attendances improving

The only problem with the ground is the lack of parking, use to be ok when I first started going as the crowd was usually about 100.
The sol would Be crap like it is when the reserves play there. The aol has no seats or floodlights, the pitch at hetton is very good and safc. have been spending a it money on it.

Sunderland's last two home attendances have been 955 ( v Notts County ) and 1004 ( v Chelsea )........these are good in comparison to others -

Sunderland's win at Bristol on Saturday was watched by 331, Arsenal v Notts County 804, Birmingham v Liverpool 778.......even the Everton v Liverpool derby in midweek only pulled an attendance of 1073.............so personally I think the lasses are doing bloody well attendance wise.

Yes, they have been spending money on it....including a fancy underground sprinkler system.......I suspect there is more to follow.....money no object !!!

X35 or 35 or 35A from Park Lane to the doorstep. No bother.
Agreed. Hetton isn't really a difficult place to get to either by private or public transport. Finding a place to park can be a chew on, but if it means that attendances are improving then it's no great hardship to park up and walk for a bit.

It really is as if we don't exist but the lasses are now top of the league for at least two weeks. That list is a complete joke. How can you miss off a player with 10 goals?

The BBC did a preview on the Notts County home game a few weeks back in which they described Sunderland as 'one of the few teams who did not supply any of the England ladies side' while failing to mention 5 out of 23 players came through the set up at Sunderland.

absolutely shocking . Bally needs to have a word

The league is very tight mind between 4 or 5. Hopefully they get 4-6 points from these next 2 games to take them into their final 3 tough matches in great form and confidence

They are one of the lasses partners. They certainly let then use the ground, AOL and provide strips. They probably provide transport too.
