Can the lasses win the title?

A record attendance for Chelski today of 1857. Wouldn't it be great for the lasses to beat that sometime soon

Going to miss the next league game v Liverpool at home as I am going to Leicester away. Hope the crowd does not suffer too much because of the clash and I really think the FA need to look at the scheduling of the Ladies games to make sure this does not happen. No reason why that Liverpool game could not be moved to the Sunday for e.g.

Liverpool are the current champions but we beat them away and they are struggling this season and 3rd bottom and then it's Brum away who are second bottom, so there is every chance the girls can still be top with three games to go.

The amount of paranoia on here.. Of course SAFC can win the league, just a few games left ffs! :)

I think you will find the 'paranoia' is due to having to win the premier league three times running to get promotion once while your lot were given it a year earlier after finishing behind us in the league and having never won a league title of any sort. It might also have something to do with the original FA blueprint for the WSL having a map of England on the front that missed off everything North of Doncaster and which was released before the final decision was made on which teams to select. Sunderland were in the top flight on merit in the final season before the new set up and had earned a place on the pitch.

There is still a lot of anger about the way the Ladies team have been treated throughout the formation of the WSL and the fact that 5 of the England team plus Demi Stokes had to leave Sunderland to get top flight football. If all the players currently in the league went back to where they were nurtured, Sunderland would win the thing by a mile. The fact that they are top after 9 matches having lost that amount of talent is remarkable really.

Great post, cap doffed.

I'm definitely going through to Hetton for the rest of the season. It has been great watching the women and I hope they can sustain their form and win the league.

What a coup that would be against the FA and the so called 'top' teams.

Ha'way the lasses.

Champions League could be good as well;)

Leading the league with 0 players in the world cup squad and the top scorer, the FA can fuck right off

Same with the BBC tbh

It really is as if we don't exist but the lasses are now top of the league for at least two weeks. That list is a complete joke. How can you miss off a player with 10 goals?

The BBC did a preview on the Notts County home game a few weeks back in which they described Sunderland as 'one of the few teams who did not supply any of the England ladies side' while failing to mention 5 out of 23 players came through the set up at Sunderland.

So.. they can actually win the league I take it.
It´s not like the FA ever deducted points or something like that?
