Can the goalposts move

You could do worse than sack AN and get TM but I suspect you know that better than moi

Would love Barnsey to ask one of the hierarchy “ did you tell TM there would be no incomings in January “ ?
Communication in business is everything-especially when a fan base (in the main) seems disappointed in the way he has been treat -need more than a short statement -gives the new manager a massive task without any detailed explanation as to why he’s gone.
We will all be watching the players closely at the weekend to see how they respond to his departure?

Absolute rubbish. There's a large chunk of fans who are glad he's gone

this club breaks your heart and empties your pdear dear me its amazing how speakman gets away scot free every fekking time!I hope his egg nog curdles and his brandy snaps dont and his crimbo wishes come true and radcliffe comes knocking on his door dressed as santa with a job offer!the sooner he feks off he better!
You don't suppose that Speakman might have his instructions from above about which type and age of player to buy? I'd imagine that what you want is the spending taps to open, managers choosing the transfer targets. Well we've done that, and look where it got us. I'd think if Speakman was given a bit more latitude in bringing in new signings, we might be doing better. Speakman to fek off or you to fek off, Speakman gets my vote.

He was always head coach. He didn't seem to know how to change things and played favourites too often. Yes he over achieved last season, but he was under achieving this season.

I agree.
We played over an hour against a 10 man Swansea side and spent most of the time passing it sideways. We didn't have a clue how to break them down.

“Told to play the forwards” and TM said no, no,no. “They’re all shite” pretty much all it can be for me..

Mowbray was never who they wanted there long term it's that simple. He overachieved meaning they couldn't get rid, you don't sack a manager who's taken a side to the playoffs. Soon as they seen a chance to upgrade they've taken it
Where is the upgrade ?

why do folk band on about spending floodgates being opened and millions of pounds of debt appearing when folk suggest we need a up to speed striker striker !im talking about supplying the manager with the tools we need to get promoted and adapting to short term goals and opportunities .....if we had forked out 10 -12 million on a decent enough championship striker i firmly believe we would be chasing the top two now..Now you say the debt the debt in the voice of some soothsayer from up Pompaii...Well you target short term goal of targeting promotion ,you look at the balance sheet ,take out a loan and buy the forward .....if it goes tits up you look at the squad and sell a player to cover your debt and move on again. Its about adapting to circumstances the best way you can with a targeted approach .Our model is inflexible and glacial in nature and has not worked consistently anywhere at the elite level and i doubt it will here either. Its the hope and missed opportunities that gets you in the end.

Always makes me laugh when I hear the statement “over achieved”. He Excelled with what he had available to him. But for a fit centre half we could have been in the Premier league now.

Exactly

Upgrade well let’s hope the next “manager” is an upgrade, although for certain he will be a young coach, of course only after KS gives his mate Dodds a few games to push his career on, might even think if he wins 2, 3 games maybe he can get it.
Who knows.

I read a lot on here that KLD and the board are hard nosed business men, that know what they want and have great experience.

Then I read that they kept Mowbray on after last season because they where worried about a backlash?

Then you read that Mowbray wasn't wanted or liked by KLD and they have jumped to get rid at the first sign of discontent.

All a bit contradictory isn't it? Hard nosed, take no prisoners business people that know what they want but kept a coach on because of a bit of social media words?

Mowbray was a great fit for us at a time when we were thrown into uncertainty. We were a newly promoted team a handful of games into the season when Neil went to stoke. That wasn't the time to take a chance on an unproven coach. Mowbray was brought in to make sure we consolidated ourselves in this league.

I 100% believe the plan was to always look to replace in the summer with someone who they felt was more suited to our strategy. He majorly exceeded expectations when we snuck into the last play off spot and that made it impossible for the club to part ways. Like others have said, first chance to get rid and they've jumped which says a lot.

I don't necessarily mind the approach and find it hard to disagree with any managerial decision they've made since KLD came in. Sacking Johnson was 100% the right decision. The Neil appointment was perfect for us at the time, as was Mowbray. So I trust them to get it right again
