Can a pigeon get the hiccups?

We have a range of birds, currently sitting on a garden box, stuffing their faces with the grub the Mrs has put out.

One is making a move which looks like it has hiccups through eating to quick.

Hiccups are caused by a spasm of the diaphragm, and birds don't have a diaphragm, so I'm going with no.
Very good informative post. Thank you

His "crop" was full of cheese, bread and parakeet food

Now a black bird, thrush, tits and the parakeet (twice) down today

They've had three servings of food so far today
