Callum Doyle

Doubt he'd want to come here to be watching games from the bench. Played most of Coventry's game didn't he? I'd expect he'd want another loan where being first choice is a real possibility.

The lad can pass a ball but I hope we're not interested in him. He has no pace and isn't a good defender. Only one game, in isolation, but I thought Cov's back three of Doyle, McFadzean & McNally were dogshite rank in the Champo play-off final.

Looks good in a 3 because he has great technique and vision and carries the ball out well but his lack of pace and physicality holds him back in the middle a back 4. I'd take him as a squad option but don't think he gets in the starting 11 right now.
Got voted young player of the year for a team that finished above us and also kept more clean sheets than us that played four at the back

It’s possible he might have improved since he played for us at 17 like.

For those saying he can't defend, he was 18 years old when he played for us. How many 18 year old centre halves are the finished article? Also, and quite importantly he played a load of games under Lee Johnson who hasn't got a scoobies how to get his teams to defend.

He played over 40 times for Coventry last season, aged 19. He's 20 in October. Might it be possible that he's improving as he gains in age and experience.

Why were we playing gooch and Hume at centre half in the play offs if we have shot loads?

Who are they? I can only think of baath and ballard

Aye that's it, them 2 who are actually centre backs. The aussie lad is an unknown quantity, Doyle just played 2 full seasons of a league one and championship football. He'd be a good addition.
