Calling out bad employers

Always been fortunate and not had a bad company yet.

All had their quirks, changing bonus structures, lack of pay rises etc. but always been fair and reasonable in most cases and never had a falling out or issue with any.

That’s 6 companies in 25 years.

Never found the need to call out a company,if it's not what you want then leave. Had all kinds of rules changes and 9/10 they will always pick away at your perks.dont like to leave on bad terms as you never know

Was employed by manpower as a kid for a tech company. Absolute shower of shite and treat like a literal resource to your face. Sack people on a hunch and when given evidence to the contrary just remind you that you’re agency so they don’t have to give you a reason.

Firm I used to work with were terrible, cost them millions in hr disputes ,they then put it right and Darent sack anyone now apparently

A few bars I've worked for have been shady. One refused to give me my wages and had to basically threaten the manager to get them.

Another faked payslips and then kept everyone's taxes, NI etc which fucked a few people over when the pub closed down and they couldn't sign on etc. Obviously everyone fucked with pensions etc.

Prob the worst I've had to deal with. Worked for a well know cat insurance call centre that is notorious for being shit and was as expected but was also a job just to get from A to B so I didnt care too much.

Was at my old place 28 years..i never liked the way the agency lads got treated..years ago they were on less money than us but a law came in where they had to be on the same..they didn’t get the same bereavement days as us..two days for an immediate family member whereas we got five days..a few over zealous managers and team leaders at times but apart from that no complaints.

were you there when we went out on strike because of that and demarcation?
the day we went back was the day i made my mind up to take the next redundancy and get out. best thing i've done.

Aye mate..it was round 2000-01 time i think..fkn ridiculous..went on strike then the company threatened to invoke the rule that Thatcher brought in against the miners..ten weeks disruption and you can be sacked..then the union recommended we go back on the original terms that the company had offered..madness.
