Not something I want to do, but...

what's the craic? Best ones to work in, worst ones, things to look out for? Got a telephone interview with one tomorrow, think it's selling though. Not what I want to do at all, but reckon I'll have to for a short time at least until something else comes along.

Worst job in the world.

Should be some nice fanny about though because, you know how much lasses like to talk.:-D

used to work in one when i was a student marra and it wasnt too bad. i get the impression it varies from company to company like but i think that could be said for any type of job to be fair.

i didnt give a toss when i was there because i was only part time but anyone with half a brain who took it seriously got promoted and off the phones within a couple of years.

Done most of them when I was a young un.......Up side, fanny on tap and lots of it (and I mean lots)......Down side, can be dull as fuck and at times you will get dogs abuse off people that you ring up or whose problems you are dealing with. Oh and no matter where you work you will rapidly get to learn the standard excuse for everything.

"Im really sorry sir/madam, if I could do anything I would, unfortunately its company policy........."

Fuck that. I just want to make sure I can pay the bills for a bit

Interview with 2Touch?

Some good, some bad. Some very good people get trapped in those places so have a plan, get in, get what you need and get out if you don't get progression. If you're looking for progression.

You'll learn the job quickly and it becomes VERY repetitive more than any other job. But it pays and its a job so fair play to doing it. I've worked in 2 banks and one insurance call centre you get a lot of shit but its not too bad i suppose. Do it till something else comes along.

TBH, it's not as bad as I make out.

You either really enjoy it or absolutely hate it I've found. Some of my mates love doing it; get a real buzz, decent craic and good money for the North East, but then I contemplated suicide after 2 months.

I am in my 11th year now working in one, I did 3 years on the phones and the rest as a Team leader.
Hard graft on the phones however good reward around pay.
When 18 year kids are earning 30k per year plus its a good short term way of making money
