Buying Amad Diallo

Being positive, there’s a big chance we’ll be front of the queue for future loans from Man Utd. They must be over the moon with the way we’ve developed the lad, and brought out his potential.
If they get taken over by Qatar they’ll let him go imo.

There is a chance if we get promoted as I am not quite sure he is a Man Utd player at the moment (very good footballer, but his conversion rate is no good enough for a top end Premier team at the minute), it would be a pity if he went back to be a bench filer.

As good as he has been for us, i’d say he’s still a million miles away from being given a chance at Man U.
With a takeover seemingly looming they’ll spend big in the summer and they’ll look to cash in on him.
Nobody is going to come in for him for the £20 million plus figures thrown around at this stage. £10-15 million is likely to get him.

As a Man Utd fan, I can absolutely see him getting a chance in our team next season, and if not, being loaned out to an EPL side to see how he gets on. Erik ten Hag has a track record of developing young players and has already improved so many of our current squad I'd be very excited to see him get Amad under his influence for an extended period of time and see where it ends up. Add to that the fact that Antony has been very hit or miss, and IMO isn't even better than Amad, and I think he will be given an opportunity to prove himself.

Also, even with a mega-wealth takeover looming, they need to be very careful about how much money they spend with the new EPL FFP rules limiting the % of revenue that can be spent on player wages/transfers. Right now we spend far too much on wages and transfer fees, and I can't see the revenue streams increasing dramatically in the short term without fudging the books a la Man City, so this actually could work out to be a net positive for Amad, in terms of being given a shot at Man Utd while they focus on strengthening other areas of the pitch like CM and ST, which both need at least 2 of in the summer, along with a RB, GK to develop under De Gea, etc.

With all that being said, if he does leave Man Utd permanently, I'm rooting for Sunderland to be the club that snaps him up.

Yeah but he’d done naff all since that move.

Amad is arguably the best player in the Championship.

Didn't he have a good spell at Celtic? Anyway, my point was only that Amad has some way to go to be a regular starter for his parent club, who knows what may happen along the way, football can often be a tough business.

I’d say it’s more likely a lower mid table prem club will stump up the cash for him unfortunately.

If we get promoted and Man UTD don't see him as a 1st team player, we'd still need them to accept less than half of what they paid for him. Would they accept 15m? Basically no way we'd buy him.

Can't see that happening either, speaks about playing top football and I would imagine wants to go back to Man Utd. Would love him to sign for us but unless we offer him huge wages it's not happening.
