Butlins, Skegness

Anyone been to any of the music weekends they put on at Butlins??

Yep I did one last October..........saw the Damned on the Friday/Boomtown Rats on the sat and the best of all From the jam on the sunday........

Loads of others on and cost 65 for three nights at Skegness.

Accomodation is fine and the pints were about £3.80 which I though would have cost more( tis a plastic pot though)

Food on site is expensive though, even the Burger king is around a quid more than your local one so we ventured into Skegness and went to Lincoln for some scran..........

Stacks of old geezers walking around dressed as punks and not a bit of bother.

Cracking weekend.........

This is this years version of it

Been tempted with one of these for a while, and the actual cost of them is really decent.

Both the halls where the bands play are a decent size but they do get full........was rammed to the roof when the jam played but they were as good as you will get without Weller...........

although its busy as well the bar staff have obviously been trained to spot whose next so it wasn't a shouting match free for all........

Accomodation is canny and if you can be arsed to take your own grub you could sort yourself that way......

Food is cheap in ingoldmells too, about a ten minute walk, around the big fairground thing.

How much of a trek is it from the caravans to the site and do you have any good site links to book?

The caravans are as close as a lot of the onsite accomodation if you stay in the right area. I stayed in "Dunes" which is about the closest and it was about a five minute walk from the caravan to the entrance of the Skyline Pavilion.

I'm staying in the gold apartments in December as the caravans are closed and I think it'll take at least five minutes from there too. There's a little tunnel (right outside the skyline) linking the caravan park to the main site.

I booked through these:

Worked out cheap enough. It was £240 for my family (5) for a week, actually 6 nights, in June in a silver caravan which had outside seating area and central heating.

I stayed in this one which was great

We were there last month, first ever time at a Butlins. Was canny, some rough looking buggers though, neck tattoos ect. Everyone there to give the kids a good time, so it's all good imo.

That massive waterslide is fun, nearly had a panic attack when I got to the top of the steps like...

Thats a pretty decent line up tbh

I'm going in December for 4 nights on the just for tots Christmas Fantasy.

A gold apartment cost £245 between all of us (4 adults, 3 kids). £8.75 per person per night. Can't be robbed at that price like.

Aye we were in the silver "seaside Apartments" nipping clean, but none of the internal doors seemed to fit properly

The seaside ones are the new ones, about the same price as the golds. Not a bad location either, especially for the beach.
