One gets £50 fine the other gets jailed for 70 days.... HMMMM i wonder which is which!!!

Ryan, who has six previous public order convictions...

Sentencing him at the city’s magistrates court, district judge Gerald Chalk told him: “You are a man who has a history of violence and disorderly conduct.

And he stole the book from a library, so was also convicted of theft.

Neither is right, and both are heavily disrepectful

neither are they directly comparable, and as stated above, one of the offenders has previous. If he hadn't im sure the judgments would have been closer together.

Should the person who burned the poppy do it again, i would hope for something harsher than a fine, and the same for the person who burned the Koran

Not quite sure what law the guy who burned poppies had broken. They were presumably his own that he paid for and poppies aren't a religious symbol as such.

He's a twat mind but there are plenty of them about.

He also was convicted of religiously aggravated assault and theft of the Koran from a library and had loads of previous, but whatever, lets just ignore the facts because it does wonders for our ability to go on rants and reinforce our prejudices.

outraging public decency I'd imagine, I would have given him 3 months

i'm fully aware of that. i wish everyone would stop being such PC wank*rs on this board in a desperate bid to make people think they are somehow more intelligent. the point of both acts was to p1ss people off and get media headlines. the best course of action would be to knock their heads together and say behave like human beings but given that we have brought in allsorts of bogus laws to cover the EU court of human rights each instance has boiled down to technicalities. the law is an ass and the general population are following. give your heads a shake and use some common sense,.

Well said that man

While we air our grievances through debate...the Muslims take to the streets and kill innocent people.
