Well when I say I fancy it what I really mean is I fancy paying someone to do it!I can't even be arsed to paint my kitchen.

We were involved in the design of innovation village in Gateshead, which are eco houses. They have different combinations of sustainable systems to be able to measure which one performs better in practice.

You’ll be a Bill from the last of usNever done, just one of those far off dreams if I won any money. Sizable plot of land, with stream, lake, views etc, Eco home, not quite off the grid, having grid as a last resort type thing, would need internet like. Probably not full hunting bloke, but grow my own stuff, cook my own stuff, my job is quite nomadic, work with people, but never really mates/friends, so I'd not be put off by the loneliness side of things, wife and kids would understand![]()
First step is to decide between a renovation or a new build. I would really like to renovate something but a new build would be simpler and much more likely to get it how you want.Would love to do it but never had the money. You will have to keep us posted if you go ahead with it.
I would have thought that getting an architect, although expensive, will save you in the long run.
