You have to remember, compared to the number of fans that attended the game, this would be trivial in the big scheme of things. Most just enjoyed the occasion and went straight home either happy or sad...
Wouldn't have been f***ing trivial if I caught the c,unt who smacked me mate and I ended up in court, banned, name in the paper and possibly lost me job. All with zero intention of wanting to fight anyone.

It's clear that they have mixed up sunderland station with st peters.

Why would they send the spare buses to station street which is the street near sunderland station.
You can see a mile off what's happening here mate. Police to be as awkward as possible and limit who gets on the metro, then surprise surprise, here's the buses turn up with the police saying you'll miss the start of the game if you don't get on them. Causing more confusion and panic to try get you in the bus. Like has been mentioned, it happened the bendtner game and we ended up in a taxi from the casino and got dropped off over the Tyne bridge. Walked along to central and here's all the Sunderland supporters waiting outside central.

There are no road closures in place for the football but motorists should still avoid the area of St James' Park on Sunday as the area will be very busy all day.

Why the fuck aren't they closing the road outside SJP? Surely thats where buses drop off/pick up?

They've just copied, literally word for word if I'm not mistaken, the same statement we seen elsewhere yesterday though. A copy and paste job, so if there was any error made on that initial one with St Peters instead of Sunderland station, it might have gone unnoticed by whoever published that.

Northumbria Police have released the same one as well, so maybe it is correct that the trains are from St Peters this time.

Why the fuck would they decide on that though other than out and out awkwardness? There's fuck all around St Peters so why would any significant number of people be around there prior to jumping on the train/metro? Don't know why they wouldn't just want to keep everyone together and let everyone on at Sunderland station like has happened for years now.

For those who get the buses...

Those who get the train tend to drink in town, that's always been the case the years I've been getting the train. Just makes it more awkward becase typically people stay in the pub as late as possible before heading to Sunderland station.

So why say the extra busses will pick us up at station street then if the metros and trains are supposedly leaving from St Peters? Absolute head fart this

I got twatted with a rock last time at their place. Reet on the kenk.
The young un must of only been 16 at the most. The coppers said 'He's just a kid'...ah thats alright then marra... didin't realise you could lob rocks at people if you're a kid.

I got hit with one on my arm during a scuffle near the dog and parrot after the match. Good shot mind.

i can't really be arsed to travel to Sunderland (from Jesmond) back through then back to Sunderland to go back through to Newcastle. Police plans brilliant

The St Peters idea is ridiculous, no doubt there will be free buses making a pick up from there too. People might as well set off from the town on an earlier metro and avoid being treat like animals by NP

Its a mis print its the town they are going from northumbria police have sent a statement out.
