I like the welsh accent. Essex is canny too. Geordie is honestly the worst with Scottish a close second imo.

I'm not convinced. In fact, I think posh Geordies would look down on my accent as being common, while other parts of the country don't automatically see it as a class distinction, just assume we all sound like that, rich or poor.

My nephew was born in south hylton,brought up there till he was 4,nowadays he speaks as if he attended Eaton as he has lived since he started school in surrey and west London,really strange how a few hundred miles affects your speech,I chatted to a Mongolian guy a few days back who thought I was Canadian,and last year I was mistaken for a New Zealander.
