Bruce Willis retires from acting

He’s been doing a ton of films recently and they’ve all been straight to dvd/streaming affairs. Obviously just getting as much work in as he could whilst still capable. Sounds like an awful disease, so sad.
Noticed that myself. He’s been in a lot of stuff that has gone under the radar and not even appeared at the cinema.

They’ve been awful in all honesty, way below the grade of something he’d normally do, and he was basically sitting down in them. Must have just wanted to pocket as much cash whilst he still could. I’d imagine his care bills will be huge going forward and he’ll want to leave a good amount for his family.

There’s been rumours he was unwell and of him having to wear an earpiece to have his lines delivered, sadly it looks like they were true.

i read all his recent films were like 1 or 2 days filming tops and he'd be off. then do another the following week. there was one he just disappeared half way through the film with no explanation. seems like this was probably why.

Aphasia is apparently an illness that causes someone to stop comprehending language. Sounds awful.

Aphasia's not really a disease, it's a symptom. It's usually caused by something else pretty concrete. I have a family member who has it (getting better over time) after a serious automotive accident and head injury.

He's been feathering the nest for the family while he still can with all this DTV dreck, which is fair enough.

Absolute legend, if only for Die Hard 1-3 alone.
The Sixth Sense.

Christ. Glad to hear they’re getting better.

Its a symptom that is often linked to dementia sadly though its usually not the prominent symptom

There is a form of dementia where it is the primary symptom at presentation

Primary Progressive Aphasia

Poor bugger he has made some films that I would never tire of watching - he also seems to have been able to get through his divorce and have a great relationship with his ex to enable him to be a great dad

Started working with a lady recently who had that, her daughter had initially thought it was the type of aphasia that improves. Wasn’t an easy conversation to have.
