lookin at Satdas performance the tell tale signs are there
No recognised full backs, when Bardsley got injured, and long balls to Bendtner and the 2 for the future

we look a very disjointed dispirited side
I even noticed Colback shakin his head, when Cattermole was subbed

We have seen all these signs before, we have relegation fodder written all over us, it set in after Bent was sold and Bruce has been utterly clueless how to stop it. We were loyal to Reid but it took years to recover once it all went stale. His record lately is shambolic. I can't see the logic with sticking with Bruce till Christmas like some want, he will not sort this mess. There are 2 very decent managers out there, who at the moment could be tempted, wait till Christmas and our chances of attract them will next to fuck all!

BRUCE did say earlier this season re OSHEAs pre season injury

" We not goin to rush him back and take chances like we did last year!!!"

Once the medicos pass the player fit, if you can you ramp him up - reserves, sub appearances etc. If it's been a significant injury/absence.

I imagine that Bruce had to sometimes cut corners on that to put a team out. But what else could he do? If he didn't, results would be worse and there'd be extra load put on the fit players, and yet more injuries. You can't win either way.

And it strikes me he's a cautious bloke on things like that - look at how much time it often takes his overseas signings to get into the first team. He doesn't like to throw players in until they're ready, when he can. He was a player himself, who was often asked to play when he shouldn't be. He knows the consequences.

It may be he's a shit manager, who knows, but I really don't see how he can be blamed for the injury crisis last season.

Definitely OUT for me. Even if we scrape a few points from the upcoming winnable games, he's done enough to prove he ain't good enough. If we give him till Xmas we will be rock bottom.

Mystifies me how anyone can say in.

Because some of us worry about who might turn up in his place. Also because any new manager would have to work with Bruce's buys.

I'm not saying no. Just not yet. If no improvement after a few more games, then reassess. New bloke can then assess the squad before the January transfer window.

Also, not kneejerking may give us time to persuade a better manager to come.

I'd guess the fact that inside a couple of years he's overseen a clear out of the deadwood and a book balancing act whilst managing to progress our league position has something to do with it.

 Succinctly put.

Allways the wise one , unlike the clown who has it as his user name.
Just worked out he's Mag Bastard , reincarnated , has to be.

Fuck off with your long termism

Stabilising on a roughly 38/63 split in favour of the 'outs'.

101%? ;)

As I've said, I wouldnt sack Bruce yet but if results and performances dont dramatically improve in the next few games I'd want him gone. Fact is though if about 37 or so percent of people on here are saying Bruce in then, even allowing for this place not being representative of the support, I would be amazed if Quinny is even considering it. If an absolute landslide amount of the fans turn on him then his position may be untenable, but for now there are enough people prepared to back him to make me think that those in power will do the same. The big test for Bruce will be if he cant get results in the next 6 games and we end up on 6 or 7 points after 10 games- at that point a lot of those who, like me, are vaguely bruce in for now will turn and I think we might get to the point where he is actually getting stick at the ground. Our crowd are fairly patient but when they turn its a long way back for a manager.

This almost exactly describes my attitude too. Bruce's job is hanging by a thread, not because of the past, but because he's got to get those next results with basically a new team and now no Gyan. Hell of a challenge.

This, for the time being.
