look at the stats since bruce has been in charge. they are not good and stats don't lie. not good enough i am afraid. in fact look at his stats wherever he has gone. not to good at all really. i am not a bruce out person or a bruce in. just always look at the facts

i dont understand how they can possibly be worse than before he arrived? considering weve made progress every season (although this season might tell a different story)

im not saying hes done a wonderful job, he hasnt and i do worry a little bit about this season, it could go either way imo

he still brought in players that no previous manager would have been able to bring in, such as bent, wellbeck, gyan, sess, larrsson, o shea, brown, mensah, mutari, zenden, cana

unfortunately players of that calibre are hard to hold on to and the club is looking to profit at every given opportunity. still compared to our previous season buys of mcshane, halford, anderson, stokes people maybe are being a little harsh

I'm sorry, but it wasn't the lure of playing under a tactical genius such as Bruce that attracted them to our club. More to do with money. If anyone should be thanked, it's Quinny, Short and Walton. Bruce IMO has very little pulling power.

and with those players we were safe with three games to go.The same as last season with Bruce.

doesnt matter how many games to go. its how many we played, and after 38 games we finished 10th

and to the above poster, if anything we had a little less money under bruce, with keane we spent 19 mil on mccartney, anton and chopra. whilst putting in a substantial bid for evans.

only bent and gyan cost more than gordon and even then gyan was funded from outgoings

money? we were only paying gyan £30k a week, which isn't much in modern footballing terms.

I'm ready to get slated for this, but i honestly think Bruce is been giving a very hard time over alot of things which aren't his fault.

Bent went for daft money in January, something Bruce had no control over as our club isn't big enough to turn down those sort of offers. He then gambled on not diving in and getting someone that wasn't going to fit in the club, he still had Welbeck, Gyan and Campbell just weeks away from match fitness.

We obviously know what happened next and the Bruce gamble didn't pay off, fair enough, i would have done the same thing.

The last few weeks of the season when Sess went up front, we seen a different player and a one that was starting to score, then against West Ham with him and Gyan they clicked and looked very good together.

Bruce then obviously thought we had a very good pair in Sess and Gyan, so didn't need to spend big over the summer on a forward. He however bought one of the hottest prospects in English football in Wickham, a player we would have only dreamed of signing.

When he saw Sess and Gyan wasn't working at the start of the season, he brought in Bendtner to help us along. I don't think anyone can argue that Gyan, Bendtner, Sess and Wickham wasn't a decent strike force and we couldn't be happy with it.

Then once again out of Bruce's hands Gyan left, which left us in the mire. Bruce threw in Wickham and that started to look like we finally had a decent strikeforce and Sess fit in perfectly on the left, our results picked up. Wickham then got injured, not Bruce's fault and we're left with just one up front again.

Basically the whole point of my article is that we've just been extremely unlucky with personnel and injuries. We've got the making of a good team, looking solid at the back, Sess can clearly do a job on the left, we just need Wickham back or even Campbell and we'll be absolutely fine.

If Wickham had played on Sat and Seb we'd have beat Fulham easily and it would have been a totally different picture this week!

Just give Bruce time to build his team, we will come good!

Stopped reading there. If you think that Bruce sees Sess as a forward then there's no hope at all. He's not a forward, never has been and never will be.

i found that situation wery strange, we were all slagging bruce sauce saying he won't use sess right, he needs to be up front alongside gyan and not on the left. Now it seems we have done a 360 degree change

Article here that says sess prefers to play on the right (Thats where I would play him). At his previous club it says he was played out of position and his form suffered.

But when you look at the team he took over, it was a dreadful squad, we didn't have the best starting 11 and absolutely no cover at all.

He is slowly bringing in the numbers, got rid of the total dead wood we had and we're only 2 maybe 3 players tops from having avery good top 10 side season upon season.

To do a mass overhaul of the squad he had it was always goign to take time, we've still managed to progress season on season and i still think we're in a fine position at the minute to finish top 10 again.

I jsut think the club is in the best position we've ever had and some of that is down to Bruce, wich some people just cannot see!

People say he has had a huge budget, but has he really, he has had to trim the wage bill and has about broke even in terms of players in and out, yet we're still improving!

Not sure who is the most deluded you or the OP
You have obviously both been Brucie Brainwashed believing the lame excuses he spouts out after every poor result

Bits in bold I dont blame him for. I still think he needs to have us much further away from the bottom 3 than we are now by xmas or he can fuck off.

What I blame him for is having a completely unbalanced team, with too few strikers, no left winger, one (half decent) right winger. I blame him for playing 0 up front. For being shite in the cups. For not being able to defend set pieces. All will be forgiven if he can somehow get us scoring goals and occasionally looking like a team that's played together before.

He's had ages to build a team, this is it, and its not that great is it?

If Rooney had gone down in the first few minutes against us, whatever result we achieved would've been put down to that .......... we lose Wickham, who was starting to appear very good indeed, and people shrug it off as if it's nowt.

That seems to be the case of much of what anti-Bruce people say. It seems to be the case that minds are made up and nothing, even facts, will change that.

Fair enough, it's a free country

I can see where your coming from. I'm just sick at the fact i have paid hundreds of pounds to watch us play 1 up front against lesser opposition for 2years while SB has been here, its not entertaining and makes you not wanna go back, i sometimes question why i do... Saturday will be the nail in the coffin for me if we dont win, he has to go. When we played two up front against Villa and bolton i came home from both games happy not just because we had decent results but we'd had a go and i feel the positive mentality on the pitch is reflected off the pitch and it does work. Our best results under bruce have come when playing 4-4-2. Old trafford (2-2) and stamford bridge spring to mind. I blame the club more than bruce for us not having that one more striker though $$
