British Army Unable To Fight For More Than A Few Days

I havnt been watching anything, I’ve been following the thread about it on this forum every day

The civilised world should do everything in their power to assist in repelling Russia out of Ukraine. Did no one ever get told not to bow down to bullies?

I was never bullied at school but this isn't school. Putin isn't going to give you the cane or 100 lines. He has 6200 nukes and its estimated that 60 nukes would render the UK unliveable ie if you didn't get vaporised the radiation would kill you. You would have 15 minutes of your life left after he launched. Would you be prepared to sacrifice your life and those of your family to stop Putin ? This is a real question.

We’re an Island nation with a good Navy and we’ve got nukes. Not sure I can think of any plausible scenario where we would ever need a large ground based army - tanks, artillery etc…

Just not going to happen is it. Spending on a huge conventional army is just money down the drain.

Nukes, navy and air force
Good Navy, you’re having a laff.

No one’s said anything about nukes or pushing him to the point of nukes.

Getting back to the sensible discussion: the civilised world should do everything they can, in terms of giving support to Ukraine, so they can continue successfully defending their own country. stop russias advance and give them the capability to push them back out of their borders.

It's sad to see you dodging my question. If you genuinely think nobody has said anything about pushing Putin to the point of launching then you haven't paid attention to the news.

Because nukes weren’t relevant to any post in this thread. Obviously no one wants Nukes to be used but you can’t simply let one country do what they please due to the threat of nukes. Which is why I’ve said we need to support Ukraine in a none violent manner.

I don’t see what’s so difficult to understand.

I'm sure there's a few other budgeting areas that can be chopped to sort this.
Aye, likely the NHS, the police, education - not transport because that money goes in the pockets of Tory backers.

If there were two things you would expect tge Conservative Party to find mpney for it's the police and military. They have even failed their "flag"ship services.

Russia isn’t going to use nuclear weapons.

Every red line they’ve set predicated on their bullshit territorial assertions has been crossed by Ukraine. Even airbases and military infrastructure in real, pre-2014 Russian Federation territory have been targeted which would be actual casus belli for a nuclear response according to their nuclear doctrine.

Their sabre rattling is intended to do precisely what you’re suggesting, scaring us into a non-response.

I don't see why it's so difficult for you to understand unless you don't want to. Our involvement in the Ukraine increases the likelihood of our being drawn into a nuclear conflict where we would cease to exist. We would probably get nuked anyway but that doesn't make our involvement any more sensible. Putin is an old man and doesn't play by the rules. I want to know what the limits are to your determination to stop him ? But I'm never going to get an answer.

Peter Hitchens is a Conservative and not naturally pro Russia but he said "Putin would have to be insane to invade Ukraine" but here we are.
I'm not satisfied by your assurance that it will never happen.

I’ve told you already, we should continue supporting them as much as we can without actual direct military involvement.
