I'm not bothered about his name or what happened in the past (we've hired managers with much better history and look where that has got us!)

Positives for me (from what I've heard) is that the man seems to have a plan on how to play attacking, pressing football and Aberdeen are gutted they are losing him, which must say something about the guy?

All he really has to do for me is come here with a positive attitude, I'm not even demanding we go straight back up! I just want to see progress and the start of an identity being built at the club that we've been missing for so long.

Good post,that man!

North Northumberland has more safc fans than some might expect...many will recall colin todd to be a superb player and man..
...you good sir with your constant negativity about our club should not be assiciated with his name ..give any new manager a chance..i know i will....but i am an safc fan.
..are you?

Think you have already made your mind up on that one Geordie! :)

Again another one who didn't read the link!

I keep it real, which seems to offend a portion on here!

Yes you're right. I had a good feeling about Moyes, that went well. But he isn't Moyes and he deserves a chance.
your right of course, he does deserve the a chance to see if he can improve the Club, not just the playing squad...If, however he is not up to the job it will be very clear ,very quickly. Lets hope we are at the beginning of another magic carpet ride for everyone's sake..

BRISTOL CITY - TENURE

Came in with remit to keep them in Ch'ship as they were 7 points adift of safety when he came in during the Autumn - managed this quite comfortably.

Next season his remit was to improve on previous season - not that onerous a task one would have thought, but by the time he left in the spring of the second season, he'd presided over 7 successive defeats:eek:ouch, and City were adrift at the bottom, so no progress made in effect.

Obviously don't know all the circumstances, but seems like he had to cull the squad etc.

Done very well at St Johnstone and Aberdeen - just really that one bad 2/3 of a season at Br City.

Decentish playing career and an international so if any billy big boots player questions what he did as a player he can look them in the eye without feeling wick.
