Bringing Wickham on with seven minutes to go

That utter shite managed to finish 10th in the league. Bruce's team pissess all over this current shower of shite!

The team with players who he didn't sign did, then he managed to dismantle it and fall out with our decent players so much so we didn't win a home game in the best part of a year. But aye, we finished 10th.

I think bringing McClean on for Graham was a bigger crime.

Wickham couldn't have done much else like.

I don't think it was. Just I would've done the double substitution then, bringing Wickham on aswell. You knew after that McClean sub that we'd have to go back to two strikers upfront if we didn't score soon, potentially leaving it too late for Wickham to make an impact.

instead of taking graham off, it should of been larson off, wickham on, 4-3-3 no reason why not to. Playing against a 10 men, Norwhich at home....Pathetic tactics..

Taking a striker off for a left winger and then 10 minutes later making a substitution to revert back smacks off desperation.

Don't know about that. I can see where you are coming from, but the wide players are very wide and it would have left a gap. There are so many things he could have done, but the double substitution would have been what I would have done too, although I would have taken Sess off.

That's a bare faced agenda laden lie
The team that finished 10th had only 4 players he didnt sign.
Describe how he dismantled it as opposed to fluffy statements that would make old wives embarassed to utter

Well Larson is less than useless, so i don't really think he would of been a miss to be honest. At least if you play 4-3-3, you might force them to play down the middle, rather than at the corner flag.

Midfield three of Johnson, Sess and Vaughan? Could've just gone for a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 or 3-4-1-2 type thing in the last 20. Maybe had to bring Bardo on to act as the third centre back. Before you call me crazy, it might have been worth a kitchen sink type tactic against 10 men, especially after Holt came on for something crazy like:

Mig

Bardo Bramble O'Shea

Gardner Larsson Vaughan Rose

Sess

Fletcher Wickham

Not something any sane person would start with, or even change to against 11 men...but maybe it might have been crazy enough to have worked in getting a winner. MOTD2 showed the two lines of 4 Norwich had when defending. Sess could've operated in that gap, with the centre backs occupied with two strikers, and their centre midfield occupied with our two. Would mean a Norwich players having to lose their shape to get to Sess, and usually two players going to him which would have had to leave a lot of space for someone to go into.

Mig

Gardner Bramble Cuellar Rose

Sess N'Diaye Johnson

Fletcher

Graham Wickham

Don't you mean O'Shea instead of Cuellar, since he got injured? Would've needed Gardner and Rose to camp out in their half to work, since Johnson and Sess would stay wide, allowing one of Norwich's central midfielders to drop back and pick up Fletcher.

That is a new low in the tactical game plan of the clueless twat

No it's not. I'm pretty sure he did it months ago against West Brom when we were losing 2-1. It absolutely boiled my piss and I said as much on here several times since.

I've tried not to get too critical of him, hoping like everyone that I might be wrong and that he might turn things around, but its looking more and more clear as long as he keeps making SHITE decisions like this that its time for him to go.

You can moan on all you like about it being Bruce's team and he needs more time, but there's absolutely no excuse for SHITE tactical moves like this.

Get over it lads, he's no more a tactical genius than I am, he's had his day, it's over, it was a good plan but its backfired and he needs to go.

I pictured that as Fletcher taking more of a Rooney type role, as he is the only forward we have that could do such a thing. Feeding the forwards, as well as getting into the box for crosses.

Don't be so ridiculous. Maybe Cattermole was his idea, the rest were lined up before he came (certainly Bent was a done deal) and then there were the legions that were on loan. There was Gyan too, that was his.

But he didn't sign Gordon, Bardsley, Richardson, Ferdinand, Malbranque or Henderson for a start. Lucky us though, he did grace us with Elmo and Bramble in that team.

He fell out with Cana, fell out with Bent, fell out with Gyan and they were never replaced. There were too many loan players which blatantly were never going to be replaced and weren't.

Bare in mind as well we were a point off 14th, that "we were 10th" bollocks got very old very quickly then, never mind now.

He should have come on at least around 70 minutes. Possibly even before. I don't know how long the manager needed to see that Fletcher and Graham does not work.

We played right into Turner's hands playing two slow centre forwards, who are in any case only decent in the air.

Turner was run ragged most of the game. Fletcher and Graham would be a canny pairing if they were both on form, some good movement between them let down by bad touches.

McLean was brought on to introduce pace. Swapping either for Wickham wouldn't have made any sense outside of FIFA.

Maybe he should spend some time on FIFA then he might see just how bad it is bringing some one on with 7 minutes left. I think I saw the lad get one kick of the ball.

Possibly because he's rarely capable of imposing himself on games. Wickham's reputation has swelled to absurd levels n this forum after the invented 'no recall' outrage.

I think he played well in the few chances he had with Bendtner. Looked like they complemented each other well. Problem is a lot of his first team time here has been up front alone, which he doesn't seem to suit.

I'm not sure he is the savior  but I would like to see him get a bit more time on the actual field. Doesn't he have the ability to play wide?
