Bresnan leaves Yorkshire

35 now, still have plenty in the tank to do a job for someone especially in the short forms of the game.

Amazed he only played 23 tests, seemed like he played more than that.

Be interesting to see if he turns up somewhere if there's any county cricket later in the year.

Shame he never got a send off but wouldn't be surprised if the club has pissed him off somehow. Wouldn't be the first time

Good lad and a good player.

He played a game for us many years ago - he wasn't bad at all. His brother Nick was in the opposing team.

Would sign him for Durham using the 'Vince Wells Principle' ie if he's playing for us (or in the case of Wells on the injury list) then he cant be taking wickets/ scoring runs/ taking diving catches against us.

Wasn't he going great and then got an injury, when he recovered England had moved on and he didn't get a look in again....... or something like that.

Often when a bowler is injured and comes back it takes a little while to rediscover form even though they're fit - that happened to Bunny Onions iirc, maybe it was Bresnan's problem too.

I reckon Yorkshire didn’t offer him the two years. Was expecting a coaching role or even a move to oz given his Big Bash experience. Good luck to him but not the big career move it was billed as when announced
