Brentford season ticket holders yellow card system

Having seen the extra info about the ability to sell the ticket on for face value, it seems like a cracking idea.

There are always a few home games I can't get to (normally only 3 or 4 a season, but others will have to miss significantly more). Would be great, if demand was there, to be able to sell them on. That ability to get some money back would be worth the "hassle" of having to ensure I don't miss 4 games without listing the tickets tbh.

Don't think we need to consider it for a while though, if the ground doesn't sell out its an poor idea for the club, hence us ditching it when we used to have the ability to sell tickets on

In our case it would cost the club money on fewer walk up tickets sold. If Brentford have a virtual season ticket sell out then the loss will be minimal to the club.

People not going means not spending on extras like pints, pies etc will be part of their reasoning.

They've obviously got people can't get tickets for games while others have season tickets they're not using. Being able to resell when you can't attend seems a fair way to deal with it, and really is it any different from our fans buying away tickets and selling them on to keep their points quota up.

At face value it seems a good way of making sure tickets get distributed when demand exceeds supply.

Giving it more detailed thought, what about bairns tickets, most young kids wont be going to any mid-week games on school nights, so they'll be struggling already.

Its also dangerous alienating fans in the boom years. When Brentfords moment in the sun inevitably sets, and there's no waiting lists anymore, how many loyal fans will they have peeved off with this strategy.
