Just to put out there to any clubs. East Rainton CC were broken into in the early hours of Christmas eve and our motor roller was stolen. It's a green poweroll, with a shorts of whitburn plate. If offered one let us know and be aware police said it' happened quite a bit recently in the Sunderland area.

Its not exactly something you can sell on easily so can’t understand the theft.

I agree. It's just about the only "community" thing in Rainton now. It's sickening to see it happen. For the likes of Rob and his dad who do so much to keep the club going it must make them feel like giving up.
 
Police think it was done for laying tarmac drive ways, also tried to take both cutters, but couldn't start them. They also raided the building site next door for various items.
 
Thanks for all the support on here everyone. We are pushing on with our plans regardless, hopefully we will get a new rollers, finish the fencing around our ground, build our new pavilion and community centre and launch East Rainton first ever junior team. So its a case of don't let the bastards grind you down.

No disrespect taken, we are working on the ambitious part atm. Luckily I now live within walking distance of Littletown so might get down to some night matches this season. Congratulations
