Bradley Lowery tributes

I've genuinely never found it so hard to come to terms with a passing for someone I've never met as much as I'm having with Bradley. I just can't get over it, can't bring myself to watch any tributes or anything. I'm finding it so difficult. I feel like I would do just about anything to give this amazing boy back to his family.

Sergio Ramos man, a top player at Real Madrid and the Spanish national side - tweeting about Bradley... tells you everything you need to know really.
Among many, it's unbelievable really, I'd sort of joked (not about his death of course) that when it happened it would be like a Royal death, I'm not far wrong. The response must be pretty unprecedented, for a little kid from a NE village that happened to support Sunderland

It's hard very hard. I think the thing is that while most of us don't know him or have met him, we've watched him most of his little life, fight, battle and smile. We've been involved every step of the way so we feel like he and his family are almost family.

Sorry if SEB, but I was so touched by this, posted on the Liverpool forum by Gillest this morning:

Some of you on the forums may remember that there used to be an LFC poetry thread, I wrote a few things on there, and dusted off the pen for an ode to Brad this morning...

If bravery had a face I’m sure,
You’d find millions who’d agree,
They’d be hard pressed to find an example better
Than 6 year old Bradley.

As millions of us began to learn
Of the cheeky Mackem’s fight;
We sang, we marched, we prayed, we cried,
We all joined Bradley’s fight.

Sunderland, his one and only team,
And as mascot, led the way;
His half time goal joined the honour roll,
For that weeks Match of the Day

His hero became his best friend,
It was just love, and not for show
“A better man he’s made of me”
Said proudly by Defoe

As Brad’s cloak approached 90 minutes
And his time was getting near,
Whilst dreams of Sunderland filled his head,
God whispered in his ear..

“I know you’re tired right now Brad,
..and whilst you think this is a dream,
I’m picking God’s eleven,
...and I need you for my team”

So this morning, whilst there will be tears,
There’s a 6 year old in heaven,
Who’s just pulled on the football shirt,
He’s part of God’s eleven.

Now whilst you’re not here anymore,
We hope the world has shown,
It doesn’t matter who you follow kid,
You’ll Never Walk Alone

That's lovely

I think the coolest idea I've seen is to have a game between us and Everton with the proceeds going towards his foundation. Would raise a lot of money, and it would be a class atmosphere.
We should have been playing Everton instead of Celtic

That's lovely. I'm gone again

Let the dust settle, arrange a benefit match v Everton with the proceeds going to kids cancer charities and it gives us all a chance to say goodbye. I think the Bradley Lowery Family Enclosure sounds good but then I think it needs to stop there. Continuing to support his foundation of course

Club should retire a number for him

What about all the other SAFC fans who have tragically died over the years?? We need to stop letting the emotions rule heads at this delicate time

The best way to have a lasting memory as I've said in other posts is to promote a charity for awareness towards Neuroblastoma on a national scale very much like the Bobby Robson Foundation has done. In years to come people will know who Bradley was because of the work the foundation carries out to ensure all other children diagnosed in the future receive the best treatment possible

Same here. There's a video on the BBC site with bradley singing at the end which absolutely floored me.

I think a charity match would be great at some point. It doesn't have to be immediately but at some point it would be nice to see.

I get why people would oppose things being named after him and in a way I kind of agree, but it doesn't have to mean his legacy can't live on in other ways.

Im sure once his family and everyone involved has had their time to grieve and give him his sendoff, they undoubtably will continue to help raise awareness in his name.

Bradley's death will not be in vain and I'm sure his family and friends will make sure his name lives on. Countless other young children suffering from the same terrible illness will benefit from Bradley's legacy I've no doubt.

For now though, it's a time to pay respects and celebrate all the good things Bradley was able to bring to us all.

Just over 24 hours since he left us and people are arguing about him.
Really any need??

As you may know, I've said for some time that there should be an embargo on these Bradley threads.

Otherwise people will post their views, just as you do and I do, and others will respond.

I don't see much arguing to be honest.

This is a discussion board and will mirror discussions going on in real life ....... how ever much you wish it otherwise you won't stop that.
