I think it was the world
Among many, it's unbelievable really, I'd sort of joked (not about his death of course) that when it happened it would be like a Royal death, I'm not far wrong. The response must be pretty unprecedented, for a little kid from a NE village that happened to support SunderlandSergio Ramos man, a top player at Real Madrid and the Spanish national side - tweeting about Bradley... tells you everything you need to know really.
It's hard very hard. I think the thing is that while most of us don't know him or have met him, we've watched him most of his little life, fight, battle and smile. We've been involved every step of the way so we feel like he and his family are almost family.I've genuinely never found it so hard to come to terms with a passing for someone I've never met as much as I'm having with Bradley. I just can't get over it, can't bring myself to watch any tributes or anything. I'm finding it so difficult. I feel like I would do just about anything to give this amazing boy back to his family.
That's lovelySorry if SEB, but I was so touched by this, posted on the Liverpool forum by Gillest this morning:
Some of you on the forums may remember that there used to be an LFC poetry thread, I wrote a few things on there, and dusted off the pen for an ode to Brad this morning...
If bravery had a face I’m sure,
You’d find millions who’d agree,
They’d be hard pressed to find an example better
Than 6 year old Bradley.
As millions of us began to learn
Of the cheeky Mackem’s fight;
We sang, we marched, we prayed, we cried,
We all joined Bradley’s fight.
Sunderland, his one and only team,
And as mascot, led the way;
His half time goal joined the honour roll,
For that weeks Match of the Day
His hero became his best friend,
It was just love, and not for show
“A better man he’s made of me”
Said proudly by Defoe
As Brad’s cloak approached 90 minutes
And his time was getting near,
Whilst dreams of Sunderland filled his head,
God whispered in his ear..
“I know you’re tired right now Brad,
..and whilst you think this is a dream,
I’m picking God’s eleven,
...and I need you for my team”
So this morning, whilst there will be tears,
There’s a 6 year old in heaven,
Who’s just pulled on the football shirt,
He’s part of God’s eleven.
Now whilst you’re not here anymore,
We hope the world has shown,
It doesn’t matter who you follow kid,
You’ll Never Walk Alone

We should have been playing Everton instead of CelticI think the coolest idea I've seen is to have a game between us and Everton with the proceeds going towards his foundation. Would raise a lot of money, and it would be a class atmosphere.
Class that likeSorry if SEB, but I was so touched by this, posted on the Liverpool forum by Gillest this morning:

Club should retire a number for him![]()
Same here. There's a video on the BBC site with bradley singing at the end which absolutely floored me.I've genuinely never found it so hard to come to terms with a passing for someone I've never met as much as I'm having with Bradley. I've been down the sol this afternoon and bumped into Bradley's uncle while I was there.
We were both in bits.
Just over 24 hours since he left us and people are arguing about him.
Really any need??
