I don't fancy any of the teams in the championship at the moment to go up comfortably next season. You will have either Villa or Fulham in there, not to mention the three coming down all have good squads and more money, plus the likes of Derby and Leeds that will be expecting to be in the mix. Nothing easy about getting out of the Championship and it gets harder and harder.
I fancy Stoke and West Brom to struggle to be honest. I think Swansea will see key players leave as well and they want to hope they don't end up with Coleman as manager.

Boro's form under Pulis has massively improved, he probably will be there next season, and he's easily one of the best managers in the league. I think they'll do well.

I cant see boro getting top 2 next season. They spent a lot of money in the summer and wont spend half as much next season. I think Stoke will do well

Harsh I know but I'd love to see Swansea disappear back into oblivion.

They’ve managed one trophy in all their history . They couldn’t sell out a play off semi final and their bitter at us because Newcastle is our derby .

Tin pot club
We couldn’t sell out our last home play off Semi infact there were over 13,000 empty seats.

I think they will definitely be in the mix for promotion but don't think they will get promoted comfortably, I think promotion will be tough for anyone in there.

I'm not going to get involved in the abuse.

My view is that Boro and Derby were poor and would have been whipping boys in the Premier League. The championship has been worse this season than last which makes it all the more incredible we went down.

Wolves will be fine I think they got a chance.
Cardiff will be relegated
Fulham have got the dynamic element to give them half a chance with a bit of spending
Villa - relegated if they go up

We will finish higher than we did this season with Pulis in charge for a full season. He was almost up to the 2 points a game mark during his time here. A full transfer window and a full pre-season with lots of his own signings will see us improve.

Stoke? They will be no better than playoffs. I would fancy West Brom to challenge for automatic though but I think Swansea may struggle. Not impressed with Derby, Leeds won't be challenging for auto and neither will Sheff U. Villa or Fulham will be right up there going for top 2 and then of course I think Boro will be right in the mix. So to summarise, I think its any two from Boro, Villa/Fulham and West Brom.

The attacking threat posed by Boro over the 2 legs was the equivalent of a hamster taking on Antony Joshua.

It was like!!! :lol::lol::lol:

I think we set up the right way though because we just don't have the quality of player to go toe to toe with teams like Wolves, Fulham and Villa. Pulis will know where we are lacking and I would expect him to bring a new striker and at least three attacking midfielders in the summer plus a creative central midfielder. We will improve next season which should be good enough to send us up automatically.

No chance of me going to villa park. It was on sky and I would rather spend time watching it at home with the wife and kids. I work away too much. I had my wembley ticket sorted though
Give Puli s his due, he said that 3 and 4th are in the final and seemed to be intimating that that was fair enough.

It's smoggy bastards or mutants

Hey Hank, just interested. I've lived in many places including Middlesbrough, Sunderland, W Midlands, Berks and have lived abroad now for a few years. I enjoy the football banter of the towns I've known well. On here in following the take-over & relegation talk I've noticed many posts from you that carry the same line of hating Teesside with a passion & the people there that just seems a bit over the top. To put it politely you come across as a bit odd with it to tell the truth.
If you have this ongoing bile and vitriol for the area & people you live amongst why do you live there and choose to spend your life there? Genuine question because it just doesn't add up. I would never live in a place where I felt that way. I've loved every place I've lived and worked including M'bro and S'land (very similar places & people IMHO) or I wouldn't have stayed there. I like to thinkI have control of my own destiny.
Are you are trapped in life you hate and can't find a way back to Sunderland (if you were ever from there). Did something bad happen or they just don't like you? Or as I would put money on, you like it really & the people and are just trying to impress in some way on a football site?
I genuinely don't understand and am interested.
I'm expecting a tirade of abuse (2 heads, mutant, scum, bastards blah blah) or no answer at all but past all that would be interested anyway. Why commit yourself to a life where you hate everyone and everything around you? Or is it just a load 'banter' for this forum?
