boro travel arrangements & smog outfits

Total lack of understanding and common sense in this, there's a shock. We've got a mini bus leaving from round here at 6. Basically, myself and couple others don't get in from work till after 5, so not a chance we could be sorted and over sol for 5.30. That'll be the same for hundreds others. If this was a weekend game then maybe have a point, but midweek when people are working and going from sunderland is literally impossible at that time, is frankly a ridiculous rule they're setting and will lead to bother.

Trouble and the odd minibus window put in probably

Could you not find out if the branches are meeting the main escort en route? I doubt the buses will leave the stadium bang on 5.30.

They may hate you Whed , I've never had the pleasure of their hatred yet.
I quote the safc chief steward on our bus years ago.... "Be wary when leaving the ground, Cleveland Police don't like us coming down here and will turn a blind eye". There lack of sense of humour speaks volumes. Boro fans I work with find it all harmless banter and today quickly reminded me that the Boro fans wore smog outfits at the sol one year

How many years ago? Does the "years ago" predate everyone having video capability on their pocket?

Police wouldn't "turn a blind eye" to anything so public IMO.

Why do us lot get the shit end of the stick every time when it is a derby?

The Boro fans get trains through no bother and are even allocated a pub pre-match.

We get a statement saying be on the official coaches by half 5 and then you'll be treat like criminals when arriving at the stadium.

Why no train info? Just put on a direct service from Sunderland with plenty carriages and one escort to the stadium.

That would be too easy though. No wonder their police force has such problems!

Train down, bus back is my plan - same as last time down there during the week. Half day in this time so I'll be in Jamesons for around 2 and then head off for the train when others start leaving.

I amagine that the usual train service between Sunderland and Boro will be still running during the day and that Cleveland police are aware of this and also have a designated pub for our lads. Fucks sake its not like the mags.
