Boro got 7,200 tickets

As much as I would like to see the away supporters moved I think for games like this the proposed move to North Upper is impractical.

Big FA cup allocations - South Stand. Normal Prem allocations - North Stand upper. What's the problem?

I'd be surprised if they did shift 7,000, since when did Boro get a decent away following.

Funny I was thinking something similar at the last home game.
The success of the SW corner, as an unofficial singing section, has a lot to do with the rivalry with the away fans. If the away fans are moved will it actually make the whole ground quieter?
I know it's not what you were really on about, but your post just reminded me of it.

Doubt it mate. Their 'lads' will be rounded up as soon as they step off the train. The majority of others will be bussed straight to the ground.

Off the train? Haway mate, they'll all taxi it/mini bus it up man. There will be hell on. It should make for a cracking atmosphere though.

Best start getting in training everyone.

Safe to say Boro wont bring as many fans and it wont "go off" as much as predicted on here.

This. They'll be lucky to sell 4k tickets.

1 lad I know has only been to 2 games home and away since they went down. Him and 3 mates are coming up despite never going, they'll be shitloads like that

Unless we hit the ground running, an away support like that should give them an advantage. Even more so if our fans fail to show.

Strong rumours circulating that they are only getting 1500 (what we gave Man U last season) at the request of the police. On their boards

boro took 7,000 to sheff united in 2008 for a 5th round game, which was on bbc and 1pm kick off. so shouldnt see a problem selling these out

so ncastle get around 3000 and are our biggest rivals. boro even tho they're allowed a certain percentage of the capacity will only get 1500:roll:

Know a lad who plays for them, not first team though, reckons mowbray told em
7,000 is also the figure reported by TotalSport last night.

If I make it back for this one, please don't hit the tall dude who'll be next to me - it's my brother and it's not really his fault that he's a bleeding smoggie.
