Boro fans inferiority complex

So have we decided where Boro live nowadays?
And for the Boro supporters on here who actually is your derby game against?

Distance wise it has to be against you. You are the closest League team to us.
In my heart it's those dirty Leeds fuckers. I would take 1 win over them against 5 against your lot.

Like I said we were in Yorkshire when I was born and are again now.
When I was a kid there were loads of plastic dirty Leeds fans around us as they were a successful team. I hated them all :)

Personally think you only have one derby game and for us that is the mags. A game against Boro personally is no different to any other team, the media try and hype it but for the average fan it means nowt. Who are Leeds' main derby game?

How are you in Yorkshire now ?

We were just informed by post that the area I live in was now addressed as North Yorkshire
Not heard of that like - mind i dont live in Boro (know plenty that do though).
Last i heard , Middlesbrough is a unilateral authority that's in yorkshire for ceremonial purposes (whatever that means).

I personally 'see' Middlesbrough as being in Yorkshire - my Birth certificate says Middlesbrough North riding of Yorkshire , my Mam was born n brought up in North Ormesby and always regarded herself as Yorkshire.
I suppose a lot depends on age groups etc whether folk regard themselves as Yorkshire, Durham (North of Tees), Teesside or Cleveland.

Middlesbrough has always been in North Yorkshire' the boundaries that changed were only political not geographical.I never changed my postal address in any case' always have used North Yorks.I don't live on Teesside mind' nearer Whitby.

Better crack on here with all the threads about boro' Sunderland are rarely mentioned on the boro forums so no banter.

I think the OP question has been answered.
They are inferior and have a massive complex about being wannabee rivals

All of boros players see sunderland as a step up, just ask cloughy.

I remember reading an interview in a match day program, think it was during our last season at Ayresome because in the picture he was sat in dug out with boro scarf on. He said he wished he never left Boro (maybe because he got injured)

He left because our defence was shite and he kept telling them they were shite so they all hated him.

edit: found the pic from the program I think
